Brendan Rodgers has made five changes to the Celtic side that started against Bayern Munich for today’s match at home to Dundee United.

Tony Ralston and Jeffrey Schlupp come in at full back, Luke McCowan replaces Arne Engels in midfield with Jota and Yang Hyun-jun starting as wingers.

After his recent heroic efforts Daizen Maeda gets a breather, three days before Celtic fly to Germany on Champions League duty.

Today is the third time that Celtic have faced Dundee United since December 22, the teams drew 0-0 at Tannadice with Celtic winning 2-0 on home soil on January 8.

A win today will put Celtic 16 points clear at the top of the SPFL Premiership table with 12 matches left to play which is countdown territory

Nick Walsh referees today’s match, Celtic face Bayern Munich on Tuesday then travel to Easter Road next Saturday on SPFL business

    It would not surprise me one bit if Daizen Maeda decided to go for a 10 k run after the boss told him he was being rested for today’s game against Dundee United ….that’s a 10 k sprint run at full pelt ! The guy is a well oiled machine of an athlete …a superb pro .

    Didn’t think we would bring Maeda on with us being so comfortable in this game. Why not give him a complete rest
