Brendan Rodgers has made NINE changes to the Celtic side that beat Dundee in midweek for today’s Scottish Cup tie against Raith Rovers.
Captain Callum McGregor keeps his place in the side as does Daizen Maeda who is suspended for Wednesday’s match against Bayern Munich.
Viljami Sinisalo, Dane Murray and Jeff Schlupp come in to start their first matches of the season with Tony Ralston and Liam Scales making up the all-change defence.
The midfield is more recognisable with some big hitters on the bench including Jota who looks certain to see some action as he attempts to recapture match fitness.
Barry Robson’s side will take heart from the Celtic team sheet but with a heavy schedule of fixtures this month Rodgers knows that he has to manage his squad carefully with Adam Idah the only recognised striker with top team experience.
In Scottish Cup ties ‘only’ eight substitutes are named.
CELTIC: Sinisalo: Ralston, Murray, Scales, Schlupp; McGregor, Bernardo, McCowan; Kuhn, Maeda, Yang
SUBS: Bain, Taylor, Jota, Idah, Nawrocki, Kenny, Engels, Hatate
Dunno what to make of that, Joe. Probably be ragin either way:-)
