Phil Clement is still raking over last season’s Scottish Cup Final with a claim that his side scored the opening goal!
Celtic won the match 1-0, the ONLY goal was scored by Adam Idah when he popped in the rebound after Super Jack Butland flapped at a shot from Paulo Bernardo in the 88th minute.
Feeding the wildest conspiracies of the Gullible & Deluded seems to be part of the job description for Clement as he deflects away from his own failings after losing three trophies to Celtic during 2024.
Abdallah Sima did have the ball in the net but only after Nicky Raskin fouled Joe Hart on the goal-line. During the first half Nick Walsh and John Beaton ignored two penalty box fouls on Kyogo Furuhashi.
December’s League Cup Final defeat was apparently the talk of Europe after a few contacts at Monaco messaged him after the Hampden defeat.
Most of the football world were watching the Manchester Derby on December 15 but with a full set of losers medals to his name Clement revealed on Friday that he still ‘feels that penalty in his stomach’.
Others still feel the Ridvan Yilmaz penalty in their heart while Cyriel Dessers was hiding behind Connor Barron.

Only Todd Cantwell and Fabio Silva from the team that started the Scottish Cup Final are no longer at the club. Joe Hart, Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi are no longer at Celtic.
