Celtic’s new look Barrowfield Training Ground looks close to completion according to the latest video from Drone Audits Scotland.
The new complex at an old location will provide upto date training facilities for the Celtic B and Ladies teams with the centre-piece being a full sized indoor pitch.
According to the video the construction work has been completed with just some landscaping required to complete the complex which had a £10m price tag.
There hasn’t been much communication from the club on the project but Drone Audits Scotland has been along a few times to provide updates.
With just four matches left to be played for the B team in the Lowland League the new facilities will be of limited use this season.
Unfortunately there are no spectator facilities at any of the pitches which prevents the B team or Ladies team from hosting matches at home.
The plastic pitches at Hamilton and Airdrie have been used as a home for the sides, Celtic’s participation in the Lowland League appears to be on a season-to-season basis.
Once completed and operational Barrowfield will have better facilities than Lennoxtown, when winter approaches it would seem logical to have the first team enjoying those facilities rather than battling the elements coming in off the Campsies.

As nice as is a gesture from Hamilton it is to rent their stadium Celtic Women could do with their own ground !
