Not all fans were in agreement with Ibrox hosting an Iftar event for the club’s Islamic supporters.
The club’s social media channels reported on the event, from many of the reactions there is still a lot of work required by the Everyone, Anyone campaign, a box ticking exercise launched in 2019 after UEFA closed sections of Ibrox due to racist singing and chanting.
Fortunately in 13 years of business the SFA and SPFL haven’t taken any action with The Billy Boys now part of the match-day experience at domestic matches home and away.
We were proud to host the first open Iftar at Ibrox Stadium last night.
Organised by the Scottish Asian Business Chamber, around 250 people united for prayer and a communal meal, supported by club partner, Black Rooster at the stadium to break their fast in the month of Ramadan. pic.twitter.com/vbsgBUOIlr

Strangely there was no presence from the club CEO, Chairman or Barry Ferguson offering their support, that was left to Foundation chief CONNOL COCHRANE.
One of the themes through the comments was to have Orange Order parades inside Ibrox. Up until the mid-eighties Ibrox hosted an annual Orange Order parade.
None of the club’s fan media outlets have reported on the Iftar event staged inside their cherished stadium which recently celebrated some sort of anniversary.
I can’t wait for the reaction to the PRIDE event ! pic.twitter.com/kQIrdE99zI

No wonder I’m supporting my local team. What happened to my club? Disgusting behaviour
— Aaron??x??????? (@aaronr__00) March 19, 2025
Absolutely revolting hearing that pish played over ibrox speakers, no wonder our club has fallen so far these years getting further and further away from the proddy club we once had ?
— RK?? (@RCDRFC7) March 18, 2025
Shame on you, @RangersFC. What about Christians? These guys are only doing this to spread dawah. Well done, Rangers. Thanks for more “dawahganda” after last month’s cultural Marxist indoctrination ?. Disgrace to those who came before you. When was the last time Jesus Christ was…
— Grant Calder (@GrantCalder_92) March 19, 2025
@49ers – check the comments!?! Are you sure you want in on this?! ?

Whilst DEI DIES in America Rangers continue to make an absolute cunt of its self and supporters
— Tommy British (@TommyBriti32588) March 18, 2025
Prayer, halal, chanting within Ibrox walls.
All absolutely fucking unnecessary.
When did we do this for Christianity.
Playing to the current Labour Party trend, get Islam on side.
I have many Muslim friends but this was a bad fucking take.

I take it the orange order are free to hold a half time march around July time?
— Jimmy (@ClubDeckLoyal) March 18, 2025
I look forward to the big Easter celebration of Christian values in a month….make sure it is well filmed and presented in the diversity push.

Wait until it dawns on them that San Francisco is Spanish for Saint Francis.

No need for this to be in ibrox, There is many mosques in Glasgow. Nothing but a show of strength
— ??? (@stevenrfc_14) March 18, 2025
Is there really any need for this?
— Natalia Walters (@Tallia_wal1) March 18, 2025
Disgraceful
— Dee ?? (@Deee1872) March 18, 2025
No mosques they could do that in?
— christy whyte (@christywhyte1) March 18, 2025
Ridiculous when the club tries to distance itself from its protestant connections
— David Graham (@davidjgraham90) March 18, 2025
What’s the club’s chaplains thoughts on this?
— Binaural Bear (@BinauralBear) March 18, 2025
When are they holding an evening for the orange order ??

I think this is a silly move. Why are we bring politics & religion into football when the narrative for years was to get rid of it. Will Rangers be opening its doors for other religious groups ie: Sikhs, Hindus, Jews & other religions. I would like to know who okay this & why.
— James Millar (@JamesMi56358362) March 18, 2025
What on earth is becoming of Rangers? Get back to your Christian roots!
— Sbob ??????????? (@SbobCuba) March 18, 2025
I wonder how many of those commenting ever step foot in a church of any stripe?
More likely to throw bricks at them.
Part of the club’s response to being charged by UEFA over Thursdays incoherent sloganeering by the ‘Union Berks’ fan group….
“For the avoidance of doubt, if you do not believe in 2025 that absolutely everyone is welcome to follow Rangers, whether at Ibrox or away, then Rangers is not the club for you and you should disassociate yourself with the club immediately.”
Hahahahaha! That will go down like the proverbial cup of cold sick with a lot of the orcs! Although they have released similarly-themed statements in the past after fan misbehaviour it has become something of a rarity in recent years given how they have pandered to their lunatic fringe.
Christian values? What like No Pope of Rome like they were signing on Sunday or other good Christian values like being up to their knees in genocide. They are absolute morons and inbreds. Since when was the Orange Order a religion? Pure scum and filth the lot of them. I would rather stand with someone who promotes love and equality than someone who wallows in hate and supremacy.
the same order who demand their entitlement to march past catholic places of worship ?.
The irony of one asking why are we bringing politics & religion into football………honestly, they are absolutely demented that lot
Glad they are pissed off with something so normal and inclusive as this and showing themselves up for the utter racists and bigoted ‘peepil’ that they very much are !
