Vaclav Cerny is planning his future post-Ibrox.
The on-loan Wolfsburg winger has been one of the few success stories at Ibrox but is outwith the price range of the Ibrox outfit.
Two goals last week away to Fenerbahce elevated Cerny into Balon d’Or territory with bears hoping that the magic of Barry Ferguson in the dug-out could inspire a permanent deal.
Last week Derek Ferguson urged his wee brother’s team to splash out £6m on the 27-year-old but that is probably about £6m more than next season’s manager will have in his transfer war-chest.
While the fakeover is being promoted on all fronts the reality is that Paddy Stewart is driving a deep programme of austerity with Phil Clement going public about the need to cut wages by 25-30% shortly before he was sacked.
David Nehoda, Cerny’s agent wasn’t playing the game when he discussed his client’s prospects in The Sun:
I can’t say what will happen next, but I don’t think it’s very realistic for him to stay at Rangers.
His contract at Wolfsburg ends in the summer of 2027, so I would assume that the club will want to recall him, or there will be interested parties who would like to buy him.
There is already interest from France and Italy. I know Vaclav’s ambitions – to return to one of the top five leagues in Europe.
With 17 goals so far this season including six in the Europa League Nehoda will be expected to fix his client up with a better club than he managed this season.
Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence and Ianis Hagi will be leaving in the summer with Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo, Jose Cifuentes and Kieran Dowell returning in the summer.

Surely they have a 20% sell on clause inserted so that Sevco gets reimbursed for their part in his development for his loan period. I thought that was how it worked now with the business savvy captains of industry at AyeBrokes.
Oh dear- What can the matter be –
Cherny’s gonna be leavin ye !!!
