Mark Wilson delivered a strong defence of Don Robertson and Steven McLean as the headed goal by Cyriel Dessers was discussed on Thursday’s Super Scoreboard.
Sky Sports broadcast the match live, BBC Scotland provided fan-boy coverage on radio, television and online but neither opted to highlight or discuss the incident.
It required the Twitter account Lint to shine a light on the incident as Hamza Igamane virtually manhandled Lewis Mayo past Kieran O’Hara and beyond the goal-line.
As Mayo stood preparing for the corner just inside the six yard box Igamane, without referencing the ball barged the Killie defender into the net, clearing the way for Dessers to head the equaliser for his side.
There was around a 10 second delay for a token VAR check after the celebrations at Rugby Park and Clydesdale House had died down where Steven McLean was on VAR duty alongside.

Former footballers often see things differently from supporters, Wilson certainly have a unique interpretation of events as he took charge of the matter in the SSB studio.
But he has got his hands on him as well
When an aggressor has two hands on you it is kind of hard to do anything other than try and challenge it.
He (Mayo) has got his hands on him but Igamane has got the momentum that forces him back, it is only when he is right on the goal-line that the defender does shrug him off. By that time it is too late.
As he talks through the clash Wilson doesn’t see the weakness of his defence of the Moroccan forward.
He’s doing the same, the two of them are at it.
The caller brought up the excuse of a penalty awarded to Dessers in the fifth minute of injury time against Queens Park.

Igamane is stronger than the defender, he is trying his upmost to push him the other way, it is a contact sport.
The misdirection in describing this Rangers goal is staggering.
I mean, it has to be intentional.
Highlighting Propper and ignoring the Rangers player pushing the Kilmarnock player in the net?
They think everyone is daft? https://t.co/TaSGBZ4VFS pic.twitter.com/FR7VmAfd0g

When u consider the disallowed goal for the merest, briefest , slightest touch on Butland a while back , it just proves it all depends who it favours…..if thats part of the game we might as well call it rugby….btw, thats a free kick anywhere else on the park, absolute fact
anywhere else on planet fitba. scotlands media shame ex celtic players included in the shame.
Correct these cowards who played for us. And allegedly Celtic fans on the media , are nothing but “rent boys .. make me sick..
I’d suggest that this extreme, prolonged push was straight from the training ground?
And, just a taster of what we can expect for the rest of Ferguson’s time in charge?
Just say no to VAR – and Scottish match officials will become ineligible for European or international games!
Mark Wilson was a shite player and is now a shite pundit. Another soup taker.
Mark Wilson – A DIRTY FUCKIN WAGE THIEF OF THE HIGHEST ORDER…
He knows fine well what side his ‘soup’ is buttered on –
Tavernier far better so ‘nuff said…
Probably a better person as well – Wouldn’t be too difficult though !!!
