Fresh from securing a cash advance from the Australian based MacQuarie Bank the troubled Ibrox club are set to take £40 off My Gers members on March 29.
The fan-tax allows loyal bears to be rewarded for buying from the club shop with fans rewarded with access to the ballot for away tickets and Hampden matches, obviously there won’t be any more Hampden matches this season.
Non Season-Ticket holders have to be members of My Gers to get tickets for home matches and onto the Season Ticket Waiting List.
Around 60,000 fans are on the My Gers scheme which was introduced by James Bisgrove, with discounted rates for u-16s it is believed that My Gers raises around £2m annually.
Normally some tacky gift is included with renewals, this year everyone gets a bonus of 40 My Gers points which leaves everyone standing in exactly the same place!
By taking the funds on March 29 it can be used towards the March payroll, with Season Ticket renewals starting in April funds will be in place to cover wages through the summer when the transfer window opens.
Despite the claim by Sky Sports News that due diligence was underway to buy out 51% of the shares in the troubled club Chris Jack has watered down the shareholding being acquired with a completion date towards the end of May.
And still no one has rang Douglas Park and asked for his thoughts, even if it is “I can’t comment.”
I could say that is strange but it’s not really.
Im guessing once the ST’s are paid for it’ll be “ they have decided to look at other options with regards a takeover, Sevco are a wonderful institution and we wish them continued success”…..summit like that….leave it like it “nearly” happened…
