After the euphoria of Sunday’s trophy-less success at Celtic Park cold reality is returning for the Gullible & Deluded.

A month after Keith Jackson broke his latest WORLD EXCLUSIVE! there is still no sign of the 49ers takeover bringing transformational change resulting in a multi-million pound splurge in the summer transfer market.

Following the 2-1 defeat from Motherwell a fortnight ago Sky Sports News were chosen to release the news that due diligence was underway to purchase 51% of the shares in the ailing company.

Last week news of another £5.3m worth of shares was brushed aside as trivial, the following day MacQuarie Bank were given future transfer instalments in return for a cash advance.

And still no media outlet will dare to approach Douglas Park for his views on a fakeover, designed in South Africa.

Today there were two serious red flags for those bears that believe that good news is around the corner with millions of dollars about to be poured into the Ibrox money pit.

An event for Ramadan at Ibrox hasn’t gone down well on social media, replies and comments have ranged from the deeply abusive to others demanding an Orange Order service to defend the club’s Christian roots!

Some bears realise that anyone carrying out due diligence is likely to dip their toes into social media to check out the extremist thoughts of ordinary Billy’s.

What they’d make of the St Patrick’s Day messages from the 49ers or their Pride events is unknown, but predictable.

As if that wasn’t bad enough for the corporate image three charges from UEFA bring the threat of ‘significant sanctions’ to quote a club statement. Such as a stand or stadium closure.

Keeping a lid of the poison and bile of the Ibrox support is a near impossible task, unfortunately due diligence is exactly that. Discovering that the mellow supporter base that you were told about is actually the most extreme right-wing, hateful grouping in UK sport, possibly not the type you’d jump into bed with to share investment plans with.

When the fakeover does fall through the major part of the blame will be put on obsessed Selik fans and bloggers.

It says check out their DEI policy for insight…

What does DEI mean – Not heard of this !

  • Bob (original) says:

    Diversity, Equality, Inclusion.

It’s applied at many/most organisations – but, it doesn’t apply to sevco, (or indeed the royal family!)

There are so many glaring holes in this ‘takeover’ nonsense,

but it is interesting to see how the story ends.

The revolting fans, the shocking financials or the main sevco shareholders ‘just don’t trust’ the potential buyers…?I

Mibbees they buyers don’t pass ‘the sniff test’ ?! 🙂

Just what bollox excuse is going to end the ’49-ers interest’ ?

Bob, you always have the good mail, but somewhere I read that 49-ers were out and it was Cav alone.
My hope is that a Cav or Cav and York 100% ownership sale goes ahead with 100% new directors.
Thus, there will be no chance of the Union Bears, having Cav or “Cav and York” Director’s gonads in the Squirrel Grip, forcing sackings etc. With no power, the Bears will drift to Queens Park or take the train to Greenock.
Celtic FC and Rodgers will rise to the challenge. Brendan will love it.
All part of the fiction, the dreaming, and theatre of Glasgow Football.

Editor: Labelling it as a 49ers takeover kept the bears sweet before it was downgraded to mystery man Andrew Cavenagh leading a consortium. Anyone doing deals with Dave King should be viewed suspiciously.

Ta for the DEI heads up Bob (original)…

That is Sevco ABSOLUTELY FU**ED WITH THAT then –

Even if (and that’s a big if) the club were serious – The Sevco Hun Hoards won’t ever entertain that for sure !

  • The Joker says:

I put a post on here on this article and mentioned the guy with the press pass from across the water to use his clout with UEFA,but the post got declined,I also called out sevco for their statement released by their klub earlier today or tonight and it got binned.
    Why?

  • Dando says:

I’ll tell you what, if the 49ers put money in to the deady bears after this shite then it really will be revealing about their plans for that club…….

  • Terence Nova says:

I’m puzzled Editor…Why are the 49ers prominent in this article ?…Based on your recent articles…a guy called Andy
?? is the main man…Or have I got it wrong…??….Help.

Editor: Most bears believe Keef and the Record that it is the 49ers, we know that is just a cover for mystery man Cavenagh and his consortium, who have a deal with Dave King and nothing else #fakeover

  • Magua says:

Ah, the good ould Huns. Whit are they like? Every one of them, is a living caricature of that much loved Robbie Coltrane character, Mason Boyne.

    Hail Hail.
