Jack Butland added to his nightmare year by wiping out Robin Propper with a brutal head-butt last night against Fenerbahce.
As the Dutch defender tracked a ball sent over his head he found his goalkeeper charging towards him.
Rather than holding back Butland attacked the ball, Propper headed it then was hit almost instantly, smack in the face by the former Crystal Palace reserve.
The Dutchman was knocked flat out but recovered after treatment, walked off and was replaced by Leon Balogun.
Horrendous decision from Butland. That is absolutely INSANE. Genuinely. pic.twitter.com/iuwfhUq6g5

Just over a year ago Butland was badly at fault as Dan Casey gave Motherwell a surprise win at Ibrox in the SPFL
On April 8 the former England ace suffered a severe nervous reaction to seeing Gareth Southgate in the stand at Ibrox for the match against Celtic.
At Hampden in the Scottish Cup Final he provided the assist for Adam Idah to score the only goal of the game.
This season has been laugh-a-minute stuff from the £30m rated ‘keeper ranging from his losing three goals twice to Celtic through to punching into his own net at Old Trafford in the Europa League.

Robin Propper’s soul left his body with that Jack Butland knockout! Proper whiplash on the neck when he hit the ground then with arms thrown out to the side as out cold unconscious! pic.twitter.com/qa9ogpLn5B

It’s just thug on thug that’s their players through and through not giving a flying F**K even aboutvtheirvown players, the intention there was to get the opposition player but if a sevco player cops a sore one in the process of dishing it out so fuck is their attitude.
Let’s us know what to expect next weekend.
That confirms that Butland has lost the plot?
Reckless outside his box, lack of communication with defender, poor decision making.. slow?.
Goes without saying: if he had done that to an opposition player it’d be a straight red,
and a lengthy, extended ban?
He is proving to be a big liability for them…Long may it continue.
Straight out of the Allan McGregor school of goalkeeping
Tattooed to the grass.
