With the exception of the Asterisk Decade of the nineties under Dodgy Dave, Scottish football fans have known nothing but Celtic’s domination.
The Twenty-twenties are on course to be the most successful ever with this season exacting an especially heavy toll on fans of both Ibrox clubs.
Just over a year ago bears were confident of a treble success under A Proper Football Manager in Phil Clement.
When the Belgian buckled Brendan Rodgers stepped in, added two more trophies to his Scottish roll of honour with Celtic on course for a treble this season.
A sixth treble in nine seasons may lose some significance to outsiders but that possibility at Hampden on May 24 is one that will be especially cherished.
Since the start of this season Celtic have nudged in front of the dubious joint trophy count of both Ibrox clubs, clinching #title55 will be very sweet, going into the summer toasting a ninth domestic treble will ensure a summer of celebrations with a splash of gloating added to the mix.
That misplaced superiority complex is under serious pressure!

Aye I was around in 1930, it was difficult times… virtually every single person alive today has only known Rangers as the most decorated club in Scotland ?

You had a 20 year head start and couldn’t win the Scottish Cup, and were behind Celtic until 1930, but claim to be the Peepul ?
The most successful period in RFC history and you, yer dad and his dad have known nothing but Celtic dominance from 1965.

After winning nothing from 1960 to 1964 the arrival of Jock Stein transformed Scottish football. Five successive League Cups were won with a deposit made on the first nine-in-a-row.
The second half of the seventies saw a mild comeback from Rangers, two trebles were won by Jock Wallace but the 4-2 match in May 1979 underlined where power lay.
During the eighties the main challenge came from the New Firm but contained some of Celtic’s most memorable and celebrated triumphs.
Dave Murray destroyed football as a sport in the nineties but under Martin O’Neill the first decade of the new century saw Celtic triumph despite the handicap of deducting and paying Income Tax and National Insurance from earnings.
In 2012 justice arrived, since then there has been no O** F*** with St Johnstone the biggest threat to Celtic, on Sunday the gulf between the clubs was huge.
Outsiders question if winning ever gets repetitive or boring for Celtic fans but righting the wrongs of the past is something that fans will never tire of.
None of Celtic’s trophy wins have been shared with Dumbarton, winning the 1967 European Cup is an achievement beyond comparison.
