A stoppage time goal from Ianis Hagi has given Celtic fans a fortnight to prepare for a title party, one with a special number borne out of irony.
A decade ago the number 55 carried no special meaning, outside of Scotland it has the same significance as 54 and 56.
But when you are in denial, when you live off untruths it suddenly becomes important, much like claiming to be The Most Successful Club in the World.
Bizarrely fans of a club founded by Charles Green during the brilliant summer of 2012 decided that their first ever title win would be labelled their 55th.
To celebrate that success, in the middle of Lockdown, George Square and Glasgow city centre was twice put under siege and trashed, even Memorial Benches in front of the Cenotaph weren’t spared.

With a 15 point lead and five matches to be played a draw in Celtic’s next match will deliver title number 55, none of them shared all won through using eligible players. No one has been lured to the club by disguised remuneration scams.
Vendors will be working round the clock on their 55 merchandise, Celtic are expected to get a 12.30pm home match on Saturday April 26, Anything and Everything with 55 on it will be snapped up.
Glasgow City Council can expect another friendly gathering from the Gallowgate to the Trongate, when the celebrations are over there will be a repeat on Presentation Day, Saturday May 17.
And after all that is finished Scotland’s most successful club will reset and go for #title56 next season.

After all, knowing it is enough.
Sophie, the point of doing it is for the sake of Historical accuracy. When they claimed the 55# there was the little matter of the shared title that they claimed outright to give them that manufactured total. This total also includes the titles won by DeidCo which they also claim as their own, which is just factually nonsense and a physically impossibility.
By Celtic claiming 55# outright it also renders their Survival Myth as worthless. We all know they live in a fantasy world this is just one of the lessons they will have to undergo in exposing the whole sham of their Club.
On a more base and primal level, after being so long at ‘the back of the bus’, this is a message to them, there’s a new Bus Driver in town and GIRFUT.
Expect the BBC’s coverage to be completely underwhelming as Celtic win the league ! Jeez , that lot are suffering at the prospect! Low key , small talk and a totally apathetic reportage from them ! The pro theRangers cast of thousands which are employed there with our money , shall regard the ’55 ‘ title as ‘ no biggie ‘ and will get off the subject in a tout suite manner …just watch !
