Hamza Igamane has been called out as hopeless on the BBC Scotland website.
The Moroccan Messi has been tipped for a £20m move this summer but after a short burst of form a familiar pattern has surfaced.
Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Todd Cantwell, Nico Raskin, Ianis Hagi have all had the treatment in the past as the Ibrox club chase Dembele Dollars through a Player Trading Model.
Igamane looked like a competition winner when he made his first appearances, found some form over the winter then returned to the norm spiced up by freaky goals away to Celtic and Aberdeen.
In January Spurs and Everton were keeping tabs but with 11SPFL goals to his name there is unlikely to be any clubs throwing money at a 22-year-old Moroccan.
Covering fan reactions from the weekend BBC Scotland reports:
Ronnie: Another dreadful performance. Barry Ferguson wanted five wins to end the season. This team fell at the first hurdle. Too many are simply not good enough and I’m afraid the much-lauded Hamza Igamane has joined them. He was hopeless. Next season can’t come quick enough. I’m struggling to think of a player I would keep at the club. Barry just looks stunned at how poor his players are. I hope the 49ers have a magic wand, as well as cash. They will need it.
Gerry: That performance sums up our season. Poor attitude, poor defensively, poor passing, poor on-field communication, poor team selection and poor leadership. It must be the worst Rangers team in our long and illustrious history. We can only look forward to an improved squad and a new season.
Rab: A dreadful performance by Rangers. No structure to the team selection, no cohesion, comedy defending sums up our season and no better than when Phillipe Clement was in charge.
Brian: The performance was dire. I really feel for Barry as he has put his heart and soul into making something of this team of half-hearted losers. He sounded so despondent at the end and I feel his pain. On the day that Celtic claim the title, this group of players are so unworthy to pull on the Rangers shirt and represent this great club.
Igamane signed from AS FAR of Morocco last July, next season he will be playing under his third manager at Ibrox.
It’s a bad day when the scattergun is out for the Morrocan Messi, apparently he is their main asset.
A couple of things to deduce here then…
1) – “Barry” is the new “Walter” – A man with no surname… Despite his pish record as well…
2) – ‘Probably the worst team in our long and illustrious history’ – Utter pish as that history is only 12 years and 275 days old and three trophies outta 39 ain’t very illustrious…
3) – “Hope The 49ers have a magic wand as well as cash” – Always somebody else’s money – Always, Always Fuckin Well ALWAYS !
Long and illustrious history??Yer 13 years old ya fuckin deluded hun prick.
Half their players were future superstars heading to England and it was all Big Phil’s fault
Suddenly the players are hopeless and the manager’s blameless just because it’s their staunch poster boy who’s in charge
Comedy gold !!!
