Two Celtic goalkeepers almost came face to face with each other in League One yesterday as Inverness Caley Thistle drew 1-1 away to Stenhousemuir.
Marcus Gill made his senior debut for the visitors while Joe Morrison, a training ground team-mate at Lennoxtown was on the bench for the home side.
Despite being outside the transfer window clubs can make 30 day or 90 day ‘emergency loans’ with the two teenage ‘keepers getting the chance to be involved at the sharp end.
At 17 years old Gill is already an u-19 internationalist with Ireland, on Friday he joined Caley Thistle and was pitched straight into action.
Under another former Celt, Scott Kellagher, Caley Thistle look like pulling off the great escape of avoiding relegation and liquidation which looked on the cards back in the autumn.
A 15 point deduction was imposed, the squad was stripped down with Kellagher taking over as manager from Duncan Ferguson.
With two matches left to play Caley Thistle are a point ahead of Annan Athletic who are in the relegation play-off position. Next week Caley Thistle are at home to champions Arbroath then travel to Montrose in their final League One fixture.
Up a division Sam Murdoch made a big impact  on his senior debut, providing the assist with a clearance as Morton won 1-0 away at Airdrie.
Sam is the nephew of former Celtic reserve Andy and the son of Tony who was once on Celtic’s books, back in 1990 they both played on the same day, Andy in the Reserve League and Tony in the Youth League.
Sam has been out on loan at Port Glasgow Juniors this season getting a taste of the real side of the game, making his Championship debut at 17 suggests that there is something about him.

After the match Morton assistant Andy Millen said:
Against a team that’s fighting for their lives to come here and get the win, a clean sheet, I’m really happy.
For Sam to come in at 17 you need to be careful but he should be proud of his performance, he did everything he was asked to do.
He handled the occasion really well. He only knew at half past one that he was playing and he deserves a lot of plaudits.

Well there you have it the Tenalady auld PISHY Spew Heevins didn’t let us down instead of apologising in his so called newspaper article today for making a KING SIZE JAMES HUNT of himself with that sevco prediction about winning the Europa league he turns his guns on us.
He has us getting beat in the semi-final today against St Johnstone and should that happen he is comparing that to the same equivalent as Queens Park SKELPING sevco on their own patch in the same competition,is this guy sitting in his own chair reeking of pish writing this stuff.
Then he goes and has a go at Idah giving it Donald Trump style sarcastic comments on the him, giving it a hope Celtic kept the receipt for the £9 million they spent on him from Norwich.
The full article was about Celtic, not one single word about sevco losing in Europe or not reaching the semi-final or even one word about this auld FUD predictions about them winning it,infact reading his article you wouldn’t think sevco had not been playing the other night.
How his shite gets by an editor I do not know, the editor must be sitting in the same auld pishy seat Heevins types from not noticing they are both reeking of pish.
Half Time = St.Johnstone 0 v Celtic 4 !!!
Spew Keevins – Don’t let him near a taxi now Adam after your goal to shut the old bastard up !!!!
I see another name being branded about with connections to the 69FAKEOVER,some nickel&dime punter that played with Bolton then some kind of academy work thing with the mighty Fleetwood Town before being a tea boy now at Leeds.
Football insider broke that story with a wee treat thrown in that Arteta is leaving Arsenal to join the W***S sorry the Yanks revolution at ibrox.
Oh dear I blame the schools.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to throw out a ridiculous prediction invariably designed to attract huns and dafty Tims, and when it inevitably fails to happen, just ignore it and move on to some other piece of shite.
On the very rare occasion the prediction comes right, he can say I TOLD YOU SO!.
Hope Caley Thistle pull off the escape of all escapes as they’re no longer rivals to The Highland League’s most successful football club – CLACHNACUDDIN FC !!!
