Daizen Maeda was in top form last night as the 24/25 SPFL champions returned to Celtic Park to be greeted by thousands of fans.
The Japanese forward is expected to hoover up the Player of the Year awards but anyone expecting long acceptance speeches are in for disappointment
Maeda performs with maximum efficiency on the park, as his brief media appearances, usually to accept Man of the Match awards have demonstrated he takes that principal off the park as well.
As the players were introduced on a podium it was quality rather than quantity as Celtic’s top scorer gave the fans exactly what they were looking for.

There are still five more matches to go this season, culminating in the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen at Hampden.
The two clubs have already met this season at the National Stadium, Maeda scoring a hat-trick in Celtic’s 6-0 victory in the League Cup semi-final in November.
With 33 goals so far this season there is scope for more from the Japanese striker, and a return to the podium if Celtic see off Aberdeen at Hampden next month.
