The respected Facebook account Fitbaw Gospel are reporting that Greg Taylor has agreed to a new three year Celtic contract.
A week ago it almost seemed that Taylor was on his way out, bringing hid one month old daughter onto the pitch for the match against Kilmarnock had the feel of a farewell gesture.
Playing the inverted full-back role to the max Taylor picked up the Man of the Match award with a sea change among many fans over his future.
Brendan Rodgers spoke warmly about the former Kilmarnock defender after that match and again on Friday when the issue of a new contract was brought up.
On Friday Fitbaw Gospel reported:
DEAL DONE! Greg Taylor has agreed terms on a new three year deal with Celtic FC
As we exclusively revealed earlier this week – the player’s representatives were back round the table with the Celtic board after a U-turn by both parties and a breakthrough has been made in negotiations
Both parties are now happy with the offer on the table and, with just a few minor details still to be ironed out, Taylor WILL remain at the Scottish champions to compete for a place with best mate Kieran Tierney next season.

Celtic face the dilemma of trying to lure a new signing to the club, probably involving a transfer fee, for the role of being understudy to a someone involved in the last four of the Champions League.
Even involving a significant pay rise a new contract for Taylor would probably be more economical but any decision will ultimately rest with the player.
Best all round for both parties I think.
I know Taylor is a whipping boy but some celtic fans always need a whipping boy.
I tend to support all our players even Anton Rogan.
Think he’d be good further up the park in midfield !
He gets up the park a fair bit in most domestic games, and does well.
KT will enhance the left side of the team and will force more out of Jota.
Looks like Jeffrey, who impressed well at the beginning, before fading will be returning south. Wonder if his £60,000 per week wages has had any influence in bringing Celtic back to the table with Greg
haha naw
