It was party time at Tannadice today as Celtic clinched the Scottish title for the 55th time.
A 5-0 victory made it 4-in-a-row for the hoops and their 13th title win in the last 14 years.
After losing 1-0 away to St Johnstone three weeks ago Brendan Rodgers’ side have bounced back with three successive five goal displays to move to one match away from another treble, the sixth in nine seasons.
While some outsiders might find it tedious it is hard to come to any conclusion other than each passing success fires up the ambitions to win more.
After a nervous start to today’s match the breakthrough came in the 30th minute with Barry Strain forced into an own goal, by half-time Celtic were 3-0 up with the match over as a contest.
Adam Idah scored twice early in the second half in front of the away support, that teed up the party scenes that came after the final whistle.
The SPFL trophy wasn’t on show but all the trimmings were there as the celebration t-shirts and scarves came out boasting of 4-in-a-row.
Despite being taken off injured Jota returned on crutches to join in with the post match celebrations, as did Kasper Schmeichel who has been out injured for the last month.
For Schmeichel, Arne Engels and Luke McCowan it was a first title success, for James Forrest it was the 26th winners medal of his career making him the most decorated player in the history of the club.
