Barry Ferguson was a broken man as he faced the media following today’s 2-2 draw away to St Mirren.
In the build up to the match Celtic were confirmed as champions, by the final whistle the gap between the top two had stretched to 17 points and an amazing plus 47 in terms of goal difference.
Previewing the match on Friday Ferguson set his side a target of winning all five post split fixtures- tonight they are on a run of five matches without a win covering two matches against Athletic Bilbao, Hibs and Aberdeen.
Fergie has been talking up his own staunch credentials to become manager on a permanent basis but is now resigned to resuming his role as a club ambassador and spinning all sorts of garbage for the Daily Record.
‘What is the point?’

When you speak to them individually and as a group and you ask them to do things and they don’t do it, what is the point? That’s the thing that frustrates me.
The issue I’ve got is people don’t fear playing Rangers now. Whether that’s at home or away, they enjoy coming to Ibrox.
And then, when you go away from home, teams look to see if they can bully you, run hard at you and get in about you.
? LISTEN: “People don’t fear playing Rangers now. Whether that’s home or away.
“They enjoy coming to Ibrox… and when you go away from home they look if they can bully you”.
Maybe it is because they’re not Rangers any more?

Today’s match was painful on the eyes between two well matched teams with nothing to play for.
One bonus for Ferguson is that today’s point and Hibs’ defeat at Aberdeen assures the Ibrox Tribute Act of second place.

Aw poor wee Benny he’s a broken man,but just think of all them bang bangs that will be in the bank for new players when the FAKEOVER is confirmed soon.
How soon nobody knows, but as it was apparently rubber stamped signed sealed and delivered, end of April is almost here and still no confirmation.
Am te?lin them to score mer goals than the other team
C when they don’t do it what’s the point
barry une Biatch ya sad punk did it ever cross yer fuckin mind that most people outwith scotchland do not share your bigotory ? or expect footballers to buy in to that shit ? Gwan ya Langer !! Next stop 56 !! chortle
Ahh the tribute act am heart fckn broken lols
He’s already 4 points worse off than when he took over , if they finish 8 points or more behind how is his buddies in the media going to spin that
Me and the mates stayed on in the pub after our game to watch Sevco visit St.Mirren…Pretty dire was the verdict…Saints actually played better football than them…but neither side have enough really good players to make it a good watch…And how Sevco have the record against us this season that they have…is mind boggling…’Cos they are poor…We need to batter them next week.
“Maybe it is because they’re not Rangers any more?”
Exactly, and we’ve been telling them that truth since 2012. A Tribute Act, a facsimile copy, with the same flies on a new shite.
YNRA
BOB, Beady-eyed Orange Bastard Ferguson proclaimed recently he’d sussed them out and things were going to get ugly but they’d be aiming for 15 pts from their closing 5 games regardless of how awful their fitba was. Well you’ve just got to hand it to them, they are fukkin ugly but, like their predecessor, they just can’t win without cheating and long may it continue. I delight in their pain. Fukkin Zombies!
That lot are boggin
That HAIRY FUD Kieran McGuire in an interview with The HUN that the FAKEOVER has now been moved until the end of May,surprise surprise as auld Cilla Black would say.
LIAR McGuire has also put it out there that there will be no money made available immediately for new players.
Looks like the FAKEOVER is over before it’s even started, but the usual suspects in the Scottish press we all know who they are will still sugar-coat the FAKEOVER as still track.
You never know May might become June,June becomes July champions league qualifying is due to take and no sign of the new manager or money being made available for new players.
Lol meanwhile the new Sporting Director who’s not in place yet,but is scouting Europe as we speak for a new manager, you wonder what next pish will be thrown out there for the GULLIBLES to believe.
The interview he gave to Radio Shortbreid just after the match was much more despondent (and unintentionally hilarious) than the edited one Sportscene used. I nearly crashed the car laughing at his greetin’-faced pish. I know every crap result he gets reduces the chances of him getting the gig full-time, but we can dream, and sleep confident in the knowledge that the absolute best that they can hope for is a failed EPL manager who will demand a huge transfer budget to sign a bunch of journeymen duds with no resale value from the EFL.
It’s tough being Simply The Second Best.
It’s the Perfect Storm end to the season for sevco.
Another trophyless season.
A publicly despondent, interim manager – who can’t even win dead rubber games.
A squad of overpaid, underperforming players.
No War Chest for new players.
No cash – period.
No takeover.
…and financially dominant Celtic completing another Double – with a Treble possible in a few weeks.
If Carlsberg did ‘end of seasons’… 🙂
Who knows what goes on behind closed doors .. especially with Mrs Ferguson’s husband’s famous fiery temper ? Could the old ‘ hairdryer ‘ routine in training and in the dressing room from the latest interim ‘ coach ‘ be unacceptable to most of the players from Ibroxland and they don’t want him to be the full time screamer and shouter and ‘ bully in chief ‘ next season ..so play badly in order to oust him ? Would it be the biggest shock ever if it were true ….not for me ?
Hilarious – He ain’t getting the gig now that’s for sure !
It will be pure fuckin embarrassing if he schools Brendan next week…
Do NOT let it happen Celtic !
