Ange Postecoglou was in top form as he delivered a post match address to the Spurs players that have reached the final of the Europa League.
The former Celtic boss has been battered by the English media for the last six months as they speculate over which result will force Spurs into sacking their manager.
Despite having just one trophy win this century there is an expectation on the Spurs manager to deliver silverware.
When he first arrived in London Postecoglou was a media favourite but boredom quickly set in with the former Celtic boss not a huge fan of those paid money to report on the sport he loves.
To describe the relationship between the Spurs boss and the media as tetchy would be an understatement but the clip below shows the real Ange and the hold that he has over the Spurs squad.

Despite being in the bottom half of the EPL Spurs have battled their way to Bilbao with Bodo Glimt their semi-final opponents.
After winning the home leg 3-1 there was work to be done in Norway but two second half goals took Spurs into the final where they face Manchester United.
As well as a long awaited trophy being on offer the victors will go into next season’s Champions League which would leave Daniel Levy with a huge dilemma as the English media pack push for a new manager at Tottenham.
Spurs have beaten Manchester United three times this season.
Do not wish him any ill… but won’t ever forget how he chose to leave us.
Editor: Do you remember what he inherited, the handover from the previous CEO- Here Ange we’ve got Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide, turn them into £25m superstars. After a year of success he then had Pete’s laddie forced into a job.
Likewise – remember the “You’ll be surprised how long I’ll be here, mate!” quote? Well, we were.
Not remotely questioning his achievements…they were outstanding…But if you found no fault in how he chose to leave us.. .Then we’ll agree to disagree.
We had nothing to show when he came in he left us with the treble in the cabinet. Five trophies out of six we should be forever grateful to him. I hope he wins the Europa
Hope he wins it and walks after the victory parade with two fingers held up at his detractors !
Me too Clach. Take the points from others above on how he left us and obviously that was disappointing. Totally get that view. What I would say though is that, unlike us, he arrived with no previous connection to the club and the detractors (including some among our support) were in on him from day one. He was never a fake badge kisser and left at the end of a treble winning season, having seen it through right to the end and handed over an outstanding squad for his successor, that was unrecognisable from the mess he inherited. Rather than leaving us high and dry, halfway through the season, like a certain guy who arrived as a “lifelong fan” and then did a midnight flit in January, leaving a struggling squad behind, with lots of fans already moaning about playing style, some of his later signings, etc (for the record, I supported BR’s return despite that, albeit far less enthusiastically than his arrival first time round).
Wim the Tim and others – even Cesar! – have left to try their luck down south, so while it’s disappointing, it’s also just part and parcel of football. Ange was not the first to do this to us – and probably won’t be the last either.
Personally, his incredible footballing achievements with us aside, I will always love Ange just for putting the boot into the cretins masquerading as journos and pundits in Scotland every time they asked a stupid question.
Good post BriBhoy…Hail hail.
Ange had a storm of injuries to manage this season and had to bring in U21 players,
who played well, but some were not quite ready for EPL level football.
If his players keep their confidence high, they can win. I hope so.
I was one who poured scorn on Ange. I regretted that and moved on. Ange has a quick
mind. He looked tired to me. Have a restful holiday Ange.
A few things about Ange I liked. Thrilling football. Giving advanced Academy
players game time with the Firsts. Giving likely loanees an opportunity to impress
one more time in the Firsts; usually off the bench. Allowing John Kennedy to
give fittness reports and post match observations to the media. Ange may have
been interviewed by the host TV broadcaster, when this occurred. I enjoyed when
Celtic Fans interviewed Ange at the training field. Good fun.
I hope big Ange skelps man u in the final .
Always liked the positive attitude of the big guy .
I feared the worst when Howe turned us down with so little time till start of the season but the big guy came in and gave me some great memories of some great football.
I wish him nothing but the best in his career and life .
Those who criticise Ange need to do a bit more reflection.
Ange was good for Celtic and stabilised us as a club.
There is nothing wrong with being attracted by a bigger challenge and a bigger salary.
It’s easy to critique him, but if they were presented with a bigger challenge and a bigger salary, what would they do. Hypocrisy knows no bounds with some.
It”s HOW he did it…Not WHY he did it…Try reading what folk say.
Love big Ange picked us up when we were down.
