Despite the warning signs and red flags all around there is absolutely no dampening of the optimism among Ibrox fans.
On the park they will finish the season trophy-less despite losses running at around £2m a month. Last season it came to £17.2m this season losses are on course for £25m.
Less home matches, construction work at Ibrox, the costs of Hampden, the failure to reach the Champions League Play Off and Phil Clement spending spree of £13m up against income of £810,000 from selling players makes for grim reading.
This season’s failings demand a clear out and another Revolution but only Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, Ianis Hagi and Vaclav Cerny will be moving on when the season ends.

Last summer a total of £810,000 was raised by the deals to get rid of Goldson, Todd Cantwell, Scott Wright, Robbie McCrorie and Sam Lammers, similar fees can be expected for the players listed with Ben Davies, Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo in the final year of their contracts.
Added to that will be increased revenue in other areas over the next couple of years (red bull shirt sponsorship chat amongst other things).

An RIFC takeover, in theory, is perfectly possible – followed by a transfer splurge.
If a ‘consortium’ is prepared to pay whatever it takes to gain control,
and then pours further tens of millions of pounds into RIFC upfront,
then, yes RIFC could have new [majority] owners and a manager who could buy decent players.
But, that’s major sums of money [for Scottish football], and with major risks.
It might be slightly more believable if the lead ‘investor’ was a rich bluenose,
who was prepared to make an emotional investment decision?
But, we’re talking about hardnosed ‘outsiders’ – and who have no obvious ibrox connections.
