Despite the warning signs and red flags all around there is absolutely no dampening of the optimism among Ibrox fans.
On the park they will finish the season trophy-less despite losses running at around £2m a month. Last season it came to £17.2m this season losses are on course for £25m.
Less home matches, construction work at Ibrox, the costs of Hampden, the failure to reach the Champions League Play Off and Phil Clement spending spree of £13m up against income of £810,000 from selling players makes for grim reading.
This season’s failings demand a clear out and another Revolution but only Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, Ianis Hagi and Vaclav Cerny will be moving on when the season ends.
Being shielded from those painful realities has given bears hope with the post below from Follow Follow typical of the level of understanding.
Virtually every claim is the polar opposite of the reality facing their club.
Better marketing deals?
How is that achieved? Just because? There might be some marginal improvements that can be made but with James Tavernier, Jack Butland and Danilo earning a combined £500,000 a month a few new adverts aren’t going to change anything.
We have also reduced the wage bill significantly, and have no legal fees or loans to repay.
Some big earners like Connor Goldson, Borna Barisic, John Lundstram and Kemar Roofe left last summer, they were all replaced with players like Robin Propper, Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny being well paid. Oscar Cortes is on the pay roll with £4m committed this summer for his permanent move.
Just last week Reputation Exchange PLC were given July dates at the Court of Session for their £2m claim after a contract for payment cards was broken.
I’d guess £10m from the non contributing players (davies, dowell, matondo, cifuentes, proper etc) and the potentially a bigger sale in raskin/hamza/dio.
Last summer a total of £810,000 was raised by the deals to get rid of Goldson, Todd Cantwell, Scott Wright, Robbie McCrorie and Sam Lammers, similar fees can be expected for the players listed with Ben Davies, Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo in the final year of their contracts.
Added to that will be increased revenue in other areas over the next couple of years (red bull shirt sponsorship chat amongst other things).
The Red Bull EXCLUSIVE came from the Scottish Daily Express.
With all of the assumptions included in one post it is easy to see how the hype and spin about the fakeover has been swallowed by Ibrox fans while Celtic power off into the distance as Scotland’s Most Successful Club.
Well it’s not even the weekend yet and THE COMEDY GOLD has started, wee RONALDO RASKIN is now a £50 million player with the daily sevco pushing his value out there.
No doubt he will run down his contract like Morelos and Kent and move on for the middle of a doughnut.
£50 million I’ll do the jokes.
Daily Sevco are Pathological Liars Joker !
Ach – Anyone else and you’d maybe take pity on them…
But absolutely NOT these Bastards !
One full swoop will take care of it all,Ronaldo Raskin to be sold for £50 million quid.
It must be true they are running with it as a headline in the daily sevco today.
There they go again fannying about with RIDICULOUS transfer fee quotes.
Who the fuck is going to buy that wee fat fuck for £50 million.
Hope they don’t turn down the 50m ? . What a shame it would be if they still had the superstar next season ?. Couldn’t get his place in the team a few years ago
The figures that are being banded around by press,, radio,,,the klub,, and all round nut jobs,, are fkn crazy,,, their finished if that’s what’s going to keep the grim reaper at bay,,,absaloot chaos
Nothing is going to happen with this fakeover, certainly until the end of year accounts are done at the end of June imo?
Then the full amount of debt can be addressed properly, along with outstanding loans, potential court costs and buying up confetti, all before how much is going to be invested into the playing squad?
So what is that actual figure, before the playing squad is addressed?
After that, the scum have to address the contracts they are willing to pay for players?
We already know that they have to pay way above the odds, just to get any player to join that toxic shithole.
That won’t be changing anytime soon either and doubt it ever will?
But the scum don’t do reality, and never have in there entire existence, with still trying to keep the survival lie in place.
So couldn’t care less what bullshit comes out of hun scum, as it just keeps our banter years intact imo?
An RIFC takeover, in theory, is perfectly possible – followed by a transfer splurge.
If a ‘consortium’ is prepared to pay whatever it takes to gain control,
and then pours further tens of millions of pounds into RIFC upfront,
then, yes RIFC could have new [majority] owners and a manager who could buy decent players.
But, that’s major sums of money [for Scottish football], and with major risks.
It might be slightly more believable if the lead ‘investor’ was a rich bluenose,
who was prepared to make an emotional investment decision?
But, we’re talking about hardnosed ‘outsiders’ – and who have no obvious ibrox connections.
All very curious.
…and guess that CEO Paddy might get all the blame when it ‘collapses’ ? 🙂
