Jeffrey Schlupp appears to have picked up two winners medals in one day!
On Saturday the defender was on the pitch to collect an SPFL Premiership winners medal for Celtic following his loan move from Crystal Palace at the end of the January transfer window.
Four hours after the kick-off at Celtic Park attention switched to Wembley where Crystal Palace saw off Manchester City to win the FA Cup, their first ever major honour.
Back in January Schlupp was a 77th minute substitute when Palace beat Stockport 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup.
Missing out on a Wembley appearance probably wasn’t a consideration when he joined Celtic but round by round Palace progressed, culminating in Saturday’s epic result and celebrations.
Schlupp started in seven SPFL matches for Celtic and came off the bench six times including Saturday’s presentation day against St Mirren. With two Champions League appearances against Bayern Munich thrown in it has certainly been an eventful couple of months.
On Saturday he is likely to be among the substitute at the Scottish Cup Final where a win against Aberdeen will create a very unique medal collection.
