The Trongate was looking cleaner than ever on Sunday morning despite claims of carnage and mayhem surrounding the celebrations of Celtic fans the day before.
For the fourth year running thousands of fans headed to the area around Glasgow Cross to proclaim the SPFL champions despite the lack of co-operation from the City Council.
The provision of bins and portaloos would have made a big impact on the event but it seems that arranging and accommodating Orange hate marches is a greater priority.
Legacy media outlets were all over the events on Saturday- or digging out their 2024 reports and refreshing them with a few minor changes.
Regardless of the ‘carnage’ inflicted the area was looking spick and span in time for the 2025 Race For Life which went down High Street before finishing in Glasgow Green.
Merchant City this morning. Our fans supported the council to clean up after the title celebrations. Whilst we except to receive criticism for the celebrations I doubt these photos will be widely shared as it’s not a click bait headline. Thanks lads, class but expected.? pic.twitter.com/PZ0f0JC9BV

Glasgow Live reported:
Thousands of runners took to Glasgow Green?on Sunday to take part in Cancer Research’s Race for Life.
The event saw participants, each with their own story to tell, complete either a 3k, 5k or 10k run to raise vital funds which will go towards the charity’s research to beat cancer.
Around 6,000 runners donned their best fancy dress costumes, which included a team dressed as inflatable unicorns raising awareness of skin cancer. Participants were entertained on the course by the Rock Choir and members of the ScottishPower pipe band.
With Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final there could be similar scenes this Saturday as Scotland’s most successful club aim to win their sixth treble in nine seasons.
