John Brown has doubled down on a claim that Scottish football is corrupt.
The former hammer-thrower was on duty for ‘Rangers TV’  at Easter Road, covering the final match in another season of failure under Phil Clement and Barry Ferguson.
After all the hype and spin the reality of watching serial failures fail to deliver is a painful one for characters like Brown who played through the Dave Murray years when Scottish football was corrupted by Rangers signing players through a scheme of disguised remuneration that denied Her Majesty funds through Income Tax and National Insurance.
From the Armed Forces through to schools, pensioners and hospitals everyone lost out as Barry Ferguson, Alex McLeish, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds, Alex Rae and Steven Thompson had millions paid directly into offshore trusts.
No retrospective action was ever taken despite clubs like Motherwell, Falkirk, Queen of the South and St Mirren losing out in cup finals to opponents rammed with ineligible players.
Yesterday at Easter Road the paranoid bears were demanding that they were awarded a goal for an effort cleared by Rocky Bashiri, soon afterwards Hibs equalised through Kieron Bowie to unleash fresh waves of anger.
Nick Walsh was the referee with Andrew Dallas on VAR.
For Brown’s benefit Walsh spends his week working on the fitness and education of the Murray Park starlets, Andrew is the son of Hugh, a man with no talent or ability for refereeing as he illustrated in February 2019 by awarding a WORLD RECORD of four penalties against St Mirren at Ibrox.
Brown: I would say it is corrupt.
Miller: Well, I’m not sure we can actually say that.
Brown: Well, I am saying it. That is a disgrace, and it is the worst decision I have seen in all the years I have been in football. Disgraceful.
After the match an angry statement from an un-named club official was shared with media partners about the decision not to award a goal.
If action is taken to reduce the involvement in matches of Walsh and Dallas fans of every club in Scotland will be grateful.
Brown is a club Ambassador and scout, he will represent the club alongside Mark Hateley at the 2025 NARSC Convention in Kissimee.
Well rather than writing strongly worded statement they can put their hand in their pocket to upgrade the technology for scottish football they’re shouting for,,,am sure the 49gers will oblige in the rebuilding of that cesspit ofa hole,,they’ve got what they deserve fk all,,,

He was to me the epitome of that era and among the most loathsome, unsporting and dirty players ever to play for the first iBrox club. His salty, bitter tears are therefore a joy to behold. It would though be interesting to learn if he was similarly outraged about another goal-line decision denying a goal to a visiting team at the same stadium earlier in the season…… I suspect possibly not.
Must admit, I thought the SPL already had goal line technology: it’s relatively ‘old’ technology now?
Perhaps we can all agree with Bomber – unusually – on one thing: VAR is not improving standards. Quite the opposite?

Nah, get rid of var and we’re back to having pens awarded against us when the ref has his back turned and they’re back to having the most pens and 2 seasons without pens against them. So no, improve var get goal line technically and stop having refs that are bias, so stop hiring them from Lanarkshire and have better pool of them from all over and also like all over football have them open about their alliances and conflicts of interest
