Super Scoreboard hits rock bottom with Alex Rae appointment

After 16 months alongside Phil Clement at Ibrox Alex Rae is back sharing his expert knowledge with listeners to Super Scoreboard on Radio Clyde.

There seems to be seem-less movement from the Ibrox dug-out to and from the Scottish media with Billy Dodds and Neil McCann expected to make the same journey in the coming months.

Rae has some lengthy stints in the Scoreboard studio on his CV with his spell at Ibrox coming on top of a 14 month run as assistant manager to Paul Ince at Reading.

What Rae adds to a show that already calls on Andy Halliday and Cammy Bell as well as Hugh Keevins is hard to determine other than providing non-Ibrox fans with extra content for The Banter Years.

Alongside Clement he brought the Real Rainjurz Man element to the coaching team, shouting and squealing at players from Brazil, Holland and Nigeria about what it means to pull on the Castore colours made little impact as Celtic continued to dominate Scottish football.

Home defeats from Queens Park and St Mirren resulted in Clement being sacked with Club Ambassador Barry Ferguson slipping on the blazer and brogues.

Rae’s football knowledge is best summed up by a call made to Super Scoreboard in December 2021 ahead of the January transfer window,

Apparently Reo Hatate would be of no use to Celtic, a left sided utility player wasn’t what Ange Postecoglou’s side needed at that time.

Meanwhile bringing in James Sands on loan from New York City was an inspired move by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Sands was involved alongside Lyon King in the record breaking season 22/23 Champions League campaign, his loan spell was cut short with an early return to the big apple.

Hatate has picked up eight winners medals at Celtic and been involved in three Champions League campaigns, Sands is now playing for St Pauli as he recovers from the trauma of his time at Ibrox.

No doubt it won’t be long before he is running Celtic as a team into the ground and our players not good enough to get into the sevco team, meanwhile at the same time talking up sevco having the best players going to win the the league, capacity increased at the bigot dome, the tyre kickers ready to punt £300 million into the bigoted klub.
Perfect timing for him showing up just as King breaks cover with that FAKE interview about the FAKEOVER,he can now push it more than ever as a tea boy for the CHISLER

We have 3 months before Champions league qualifiers and as James Forrest has pointed out on the Celtic blog we can’t be dragging our heels here.
LIEWELL and fuckin Lord Lucan aka Nicholson better get the finger out now and have some cash lined up to give to Brendan for the right players to be brought ASAP.

Any fannying about to see if we can get by the dummy round before the big one to qualify properly will not be TOLERATED,those 2 ARSEHOLES better not start their shite delaying tactics to see if they can get to the big guys playground without putting their hands in their pocket.
