The one word that bitter Boyd can never mention

Kris Boyd has been shedding tears over the death of the O** F***.

While his employers at Sky Sports and The Scottish Sun cling on to the phrase it is used by only one club, by one set of supporters desperate to hang on to the past.

Three years ago the Ibrox Tribute Act had backing boards and bunting everywhere announcing the O** F***, after Celtic won 2-1 it was promptly dumped in a skip, never to resurface.

On Sunday the four-in-a-row champions return to Ibrox, absolutely no fan is remotely interested in a Guard of Honour but it is another excuse for tired media voices to drone on about an imagined partnership.

The Daily Record reports Boyd saying:

There won’t be any guard of honour. I think Scotland’s a pretty unique place. Respect for both teams went out the window a few years ago.

Celtic can’t even refer to it as the Old Firm and in terms of the respect that used to be in the boardrooms, I don’t think it’s there anymore.

So I can’t imagine Rangers players clapping Celtic players onto the pitch on Sunday.

There should still be respect there from both clubs but there are so many problems in the past now that there is absolutely no chance of a guard of honour on Sunday.

There was an especially big story in 2012, it was called LIQUIDATION when Her Majesty and Dave King refused the offer of a CVA to scale down over £20m of debt.

This was due to the non-payment of Income Tax and National Insurance during the 2011/12 season under the management of Ally McCoist. Not the disguised remuneration scam that saw Boyd, Barry Ferguson, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds, Steven Thompson and dozens of others paid fortunes into offshore accounts that was liable to Income Tax and National Insurance.

When the CVA was refused Boyd’s pals Steven Naismith, Kyle Lafferty, Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and Steven Whittaker walked away, joining new clubs where they pocketed massive signing on fees and wages.

Boyd joined the new club for the 2014/15 season where he was managed by McCoist, Kenny McDowall and Stuart McCall, scoring three goals from starting 19 matches plus 10 coming off the bench.

Since his switch into the world of media Boyd has witnessed the greatest period of dominance in the history of Scottish football.
