Three word reaction from first time Celtic scorer

Johnny Kenny is more than a Celtic player- he is a Celtic scorer.

After seven appearances off the bench he was given his first start last night as a ‘shadow’ Celtic side faced Aberdeen.

The forward line had lost the goals of Nicolas Kuhn, Adam Idah and Daizen Maeda but it was business as usual from the champions.

The visitors edged in from 2-1 at the interval but with James Forrest in inspired form the second hakf was one way traffic.

Luke McCowan had increased the lead when in the 54th minute the ball was crossed towards Kenny, with a sharp movement and well placed header he nodded the ball beyond the reach of Dimitar Mitov.

Three years on from joining Celtic from Sligo Rovers, Kenny was a Celtic scorer, adding to his tally of 19 earlier in the season for Shamrock Rovers.

On Saturday he’ll collect his SPFL Premiership champions medal then prepare for the Scottish Cup Final a week later against Aberdeen at Hampden.

Celtic are expected to strengthen their forward line in the summer but whatever happens Kenny can dine out for the rest of his life knowing that he scored for Celtic on a sunny spring evening at Pittodrie.

Kenny is on his way to greatness. I disagree with naysayers on Nawrocki. That includes
Brendan Rodgers; but I respect his call.
Rodgers must not overbuy. Celtic need to maintain contentment and harmony within the full squad.

Was hearing the changes made removed 98 goals from the team. To still rout a team after that is ominous for our domestic rivals. HWGTIAR
