Ibrox fans have been reassured that everything is hunky dory as they sail on aimlessly into the close season with nothing known about the plan despite the new season starting on July 22/23. Two months to prepare for Champions League qualifiers.
With the interim management team cleared out on Sunday quickly followed by six out of contract players austerity is creeping in to address losses expected to be around £25m for another season of failure.
Dinamo Kiev ended their interest in the Champions League, Celtic took the SPFL Premiership title and League Cup with interest in the Scottish Cup ended by Queens Park in February.
Woke CEO Paddy Stewart has been appointed to impose deep rooted cuts while the Takeover tale was launched to keep bears on board with Season Ticket renewals.
The Rangers Review has matched the Daily Record stride for stride in delivering the good news with timelines constantly being pushed back for the start of the next Revolution!
Chief cheerleader Joshua Barrie explains to Review readers:
While the optics are more encouraging a year on regarding the potential of Rangers’ spend, ultimately, much remains unknown ahead of the summer window, as the budget to be established under new owners is still to be set.
In the coming weeks, a US-led consortium, spearheaded by 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh, will take control. While the influence of those figures is already being felt, smaller details – such as the transfer budget – still need defining. This has led to an element of transfers being a ‘waiting game’.
Indeed the final decision surrounding loan deals expiring and contracts ending, communicated yesterday, falls into the same bracket.
As the Rangers Review has explained previously, the club is not operating independently of the new owners (who were behind the appointment of Kevin Thelwell as sporting director and have led the hunt for a new manager alongside Gretar Steinsson, the group’s technical director).
However, given the scale of change set to engulf Ibrox in this transformative takeover, and as the search for a new manager continues, exact figures for the summer budget remain unknown.
The imminent appointment of a new manager, with a range of styles considered during the search, is also a contributing factor.
At present, the club is set to continue a recruitment strategy that includes manager involvement and a veto system. However, in line with a formal club DNA document recently rubber-stamped, there is hope that the ability to recruit to a style and system, rather than changing with every new manager, will improve fortunes long-term. The appointment of a sporting director to directly manage the manager, a key role missing since 2023, should help streamline what has often proven a convoluted process.
As ever, no timeline, no mention of UEFA Financial Sustainability Regulations or how excited Douglas Park is about an exciting new era beginning at Ibrox bank rolled by the San Francisco 49GERS.
What to expect from Rangers’ summer window.
? Another summer of double figures in and out
? Budget still to be set amid takeover
? Meeting this week determined list
? Sale anticipated, adding physicality, manager influence https://t.co/DT5IbEIUPT— Joshua Barrie (@JoshuaBarrieRR) May 21, 2025

Sounds very ‘pie in the sky ‘. I note its not prospective new owners….they live in a permanent state of denial/delusion down Edmiston Drive way. The reality is…no manager, no money, no clue…maybe not even new owners….meanwhile in the east end….
I love seeing posts…written in the same style as me…It might catch on Kelly…Hail hail.
What about their season ticket sales.
It must be time for wee Beam Me Up Scottie(Arnfiels)to make a special guest star appearance I’m the daily sevco to tell us all how good a manager Slippy G is,come on daily sevco don’t keep us waiting.
A key role which has been missing since 2023 ? What influence did the person in this role have on the state of things prior to 2023 ?.
Going by the tortoise race speed of the ‘ newest revolution ‘ in Ibroxland, don’t be surprised if Tavpen is installed as the new sooper dooper player/ manager ? I can’t wait for the adoring headlines from the pro theRangers scoops on that one ! Time is after all , of the essence ! Try not to be disappointed …..
The Sevco Review then – So their club newspaper is even almost copying our Celtic View – Almost !
How many shitehawks have the scum already got under contract at present?
As a total guess, would still say it has to be already around the 25 player mark imo?
Especially with no B team in operation now?
So already any potential manager is looking at the prospect of selling before buying, especially without room to add extra players.
That is going to be the criteria set for any potential new manager, and even moreso with the amount of losses set to increase.
So putting everything into context, any potential investment will get drained with debt.
No room available for players to be added within a squad, where no places remains available.
So why change the format of a new club that has been built upon lies, and remains the case?
“…In the coming weeks, a US-led consortium, spearheaded by 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh, will take control…”
In just over 5 weeks it will be yearend for RIFC: 30th June.
Supposedly, this ‘consortium’ has been sniffing around RIFC since October.
Obviously, they are in no rush whatsoever.
So, why would you close any ‘deal’ just before yearend?
May as well wait a bit longer to view even the ‘unaudited accounts’?
But, it’s all nonsense anyway.
No income tax no vat no money back no guarantee, etc,etc , sevco independent traders, ( while insolvent ) , God bless hooky Street.
Viva hooky Street.
Hail Hail.
