Besiktas are leading the race for Mohamed Diomande as another despairing Ibrox hunt gets underway to bring in some much needed cash.
Every transfer window the Turkish club are credited with attempting to re-sign Ridvan Yilmaz only for the deal to never get off the ground.
So far the Ibrox spin machine has tried to conjure up bids for Nicky Raskin, Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane without anyone biting on last season’s multiple losers.
Now the spotlight is on Diomande with a fee in the region of 10-12m euros being discussed.
Put that in writing and they’ll throw in half a dozen more players as Paddy Stewart ramps up his austerity campaign.

Diomande was last summer’s star signing, costing £4.5m following a loan spell from Nordsjælland in which he was barely noticed.
Last season was another one of complete failure at Ibrox with a desperate attempt to bring in fresh funds underway.
In recent years Turkish clubs have been stung after signing Ryan Kent, John Lundstram and Borna Barisic as free agents.
It is unlikely that more than a token offer of 2-3m euros would be made for Diomande, within a fortnight Besiktas are expected to be keeping tabs and lining up a bid for Yilmaz. Again.
Reports from Murray Park suggest that Ben Davies, Kieran Dowell and James Tavernier are looking exceptionally sharp in training, all three are free agents in May 2026.

Ha ha I commented on James’ blog on the Mioroccan Messi article exactly this. Pirie quotes the same teams every time ie W Ham Everton Southampton Brentford Bournemouth Southampton some Turkish or French mob.
I see the Leicester superstar Coady is back in training with er er Leicster. Surely not another transfer dingy
Just runs about scything players and throwing snide feeble from behind punches under the protection of bent refs
It’s about time somebody took him f*cking right out
Why do the keep printing this nonsense. Besiktas have only spent €10million twice in their history, and rarely pay more than €6million. They over value all their players, leaving the club with either an unhappy player or having to increase the contract to reflect their crazy valuation. Utter madness
Nothing less than £75 million quid will be acceptable for the 3 Stooges Curly,Moe and Larry aka the Morrocan Messi,Ronaldo Raskin and Diego Diamonde.
According to my brother…there seems to be a falling out on FF regarding the value of Igname …It ranges from £12 million to £25 million …With excellent add ons of course…Not saying they’re wrong…but canny wait to see actual.
Every player is either a freebie or a few nickel&dimes paid out as compo to bring an academy player in from down south, even freebies mentioned Erikson from Man U past his sell buy date,Coady another OAP 32 and then the OAP’s very own OAP Jamie Vardy.
Still not a nickel&dime from the yanks been spent as yet.
The penny tray is alive and well with a selection of misshapes being shuffled around before plumping for a dip in the lucky bag.
The only club in the world that has an orgasm at the thought of selling a player…NOT BUYING a player mind ye..but selling one….Utter feckin’ morons.
