Micky Beale and Phil Clement were simply managers, the new man in the Ibrox dug-out is much much more than that.
In keeping with the WOKE makeover initiated by Paddy Stewart, Russell Martin was appointed as the Head Coach of the Men’s team.
The new Ibrox CEO is simply a bundle of jargon and buzzwords delivered in the dullest and slowest of Aberdonian accents.
Martin was apparently interviewed seven times for the job, twice would be one too many with Paddy boy which probably explains why Steven Gerrard and Dave Ancelotti made their excuses and dropped out of the process.
Martin also likes to bore people to death with his faux enthusiasm for everything- the sort of management style that delivered 13 defeats, two draws and just one EPL win for Southampton last season.
As expected most bears were won over by his impressive conduct when introduced to the media, Beale and Clement got the same reception but Martin has an additional title.
The vegan, Buddhist that is a member of the Green Party also has the tag of being a Culture Architect.
Anyone in any doubt about the new WOKE mentality at that club only has to listen to their CEO in an in-house interview.
We’ve been very thorough in terms of understanding the style of play and ensuring that is compatible with the style of football that the club wants to play.
We need a head coach that is right for the club and Russell shows great leadership, he is a culture architect, so he is somebody we think will come in and really drive standards at Auchenhowie.
He’s also someone we believe is going to help develop players. Russell talked about players as assets for the club and that’s something we really do need to trade on quite literally for the club to elevate itself financially.
There is a lot in there but ultimately he stood out in every stage of the process and we are really delighted he agreed to join us.
It seems crazy to think that seven years ago the Culture Architect was slurping whisky in a jacuzzi with Jimmy Bell while the bus driver shared far fetched tales of successes achieved by denying Her Majesty revenue and customs.
A CEO who explains the clubs vision and is the voice of the boardroom, what a novel idea.
“…Russell shows great leadership, he is a culture architect,
so he is somebody we think will come in and really drive standards…” .
Martin is employed – not even as a Manager – as a ‘Head Coach’.
He is not in a position to effect culture change himself: that is driven by the CEO downwards.
And call me old fashioned, but per that video still above,
how can you trust someone who can’t put a proper knot in his tie?! ?
Totally agree about the knot in the tie Bob… Way below acceptable standards…But commonplace today..Sadly…
If you are going to San Francisco be sure to wear some Bluebells in your hair…
Should be a laugh watching them trying to amalgamate the two diametrically opposed “Kultures”.
Patrick Stewart….( PATRICK…???…Feckin’ seriously….PATRICK…?? )….Said that he was positive that Sevco would close the gap on Celtic next season….When asked to expand on that…he said…” We were 17 points behind Celtic last season…..We are now positive than we can reduce that to 12 or 13 “…
Is a culture architect something to do with Scottish Freemasonsry !
Used to hear an old drunken goat shagger in the boozer yapping about something like that…
Maybe that’s why Cavanaugh wants to be so secretive to keep the goat screwers onside !
