Joey Barton has given his backing to the latest Revolution at Ibrox as they attempt to topple Scotland’s most successful club.
The former Strangeways inmate spent a short and very unsuccessful time at Ibrox when he was the posterboy of the Mark Warburton Revolution before packing up his coffee machine and heading back to Burnley.
In his five SPFL matches Barton was battered by Greg Taylor and bossed by Scott Brown with his ambitions to pure boss it lad left in tatters.
Barton can’t let go of that brief spell in his career, any time he pipes up on Twitter about Scottish football he is swamped with reminders of his multiple failings on and off the pitch.

After appearing on Question Time to launch a media career as the thinking footballer the mask slipped from the former Bristol Rovers boss who now scrapes around seeking attention and approval from extreme right-wing groups.
Recently he was found guilty of assaulting Mrs Barton and handed a 12 week suspended jail sentence, the former Ibrox hero turned up in court wearing a trendy polo neck, glasses and a thick book.
