Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that Josh Mulligan will join Hibs today.
For months the Dundee defender was linked with a move to Ibrox but it seems that he has resisted a place on the Russell Revolution for sunshine on Leith.
Ibrox stats freaks had performed deep dives into the data to convince themselves that Mulligan was the best emerging right-back in Europe but their club has been unable to put an agreeable offer in front of the 22-year-old.
Instead Mulligan is heading to Hibs where David Gray will be looking to build on a very impressive final six months of the season which took the Edinburgh side from second bottom to third place.
???????? Understand Hibernian have agreed deal to sign Scottish talent Josh Mulligan from Dundee FC, here we go!

On Wednesday the Ibrox club did announce a season long loan deal for Max Aarons that has no option to buy, unlike last summer’s loan deal for Oscar Cortes that contained an obligation to buy for £4.5m.
Less than four weeks away from hosting Panathinaikos in a Champions League qualifier there is a distinct lack of transfer activity around Ibrox.
Media messengers promised a spending splurge on the back of the takeover from the San Francisco 49GERS but so far Lyall Cameron and Aarons are the only arrivals.
Equally worryingly for Ibrox fans no players have been sold with Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo, Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes all back to drain the wage bill.
? Rangers are interested in Dundee’s Josh Mulligan. 22-yo is out of contract at Dens this summer and on the club’s radar.
Capable of playing at full-back or in midfield. Mulligan’s viewed as a player with strong physical attributes and potential.https://t.co/L49i39UcwQ

Surely they’ll just wait until they get the money from the yanks and sign Mbappe as their new CB? I know he’s technically a forward but he’ll be so far down the pecking order he’ll need to play there to get a game ???

Everybody knows it’s just more freebies & loans for ibrox.
But, it would buy the new ibrox leadership more time – and generate goodwill – if they actually bought one player?
Maybe a well known player at the end of his career?
Someone the SMSM and the bears can drool over…?! 🙂
Aye Jordan Henderson Wullie’s boy, remember that pish months ago when the ganglands friend was mentioned about coming back to greyskull with all those big names behind playing for new klub,oh how laughed.
Then it was son of Anchelotti with 3 quarters of the Real Madrid team in tow,the sevco bloggers and the arseholes in the Scottish nickel&dime press tell more FAKE NEWS stories than big Donald, and he was the one that started the quote FAKE NEWS,takes a lot to better the Donald.
Hibernian is a better place for him anyway with a name like Mulligan !
Good signing for Hibs. If they can be consistent this year, they be our closest challengers.
I don’t understand ? Why would the guy want to sign for some other club , when he would be playing for a clumpany ‘ owned ‘ by the San Francisco 49ers enterprises with untold wealth and one of the ‘ crowning jewels ‘ of European football ? Why look elsewhere ? Or is it more of the case that his ‘ adviser ‘ has told him to ignore all of the crud and crap …it’s all garbage ?
Joe, see by mentioning Sunshine on Leith and then David Gray (who scored the winner in SC final, 2016) you’ve lifted my spirits no end. And Mulligan going to Hibs instead of ‘them’ is adding icing to the ‘cake’. I still think the Hibs support in full voice with the Proclaimers’ Sunshine on Leith is one of the best football anthems ever and in 2016 it was the best possible rendition. Thanks for that pal, I’ve been having wan bad day after enforced garden work followed by a ton of booze yesterday. But now I feel just magic! Cheers!
