Matt O’Riley has delivered an unusually heavy Instagram message while apparently enjoying a sun-filled summer break.
On the surface life could hardly look better for the midfielder who moved to the EPL last summer in a £28m move, joining one of the most progressive and admired clubs in the business.
An injury can do strange things to a footballer, throw life and their career into a different perspective with O’Riley’s upward trajectory cut short by a brute from Crawley 10 minutes into his Brighton debut.
He did return with goals against Manchester City and Spurs to add to the Champions League appearances on his CV but summertime is clearly a period of reflection.

It can be tough sometimes!
Life throws challenges that sometimes feel too much for us to handle..
Speaking for myself here too! Please remember to be kind to yourselves and those around you.
Every moment is so precious and who knows the influence one interaction can have on someone’s day and life!
O’Riley started 10 EPL matches for Brighton and came off the bench 11 times, it wasn’t quite what was anticipated but with a taster for the standard of opponents and a full pre-season he should be in line to fulfil expectations next season.
And if it isn’t at Brighton he might just have to show his stuff playing for Napoli in Serie A and the Champions League.
O’Riley was on holiday with Moritz Jenz are friends.

Try proper job ..you’re in another world.
I know the transfer window is tedious but come on Joe! This isn’t worth an article.
