It seems that Max Aarons’ DONE DEAL to Ibrox may not be quite as cut and dried as first claimed.
All it took was an Instagram post from an Italian influencer and the loyal messengers were off and running to spin the 25-year-old into the next Trent Alexandre-Arnold.
Last season after playing in 85 minutes of EPL action across three matches Bournemouth decided to get rid of Aarons during the January transfer window.
Valencia fell for the sales pitch, took him on loan but quickly realised their error with the defender limited to 118 minutes in La Liga.
That wasn’t enough to prevent the Daily Record from referencing Real Madrid and Vini Junior into their headline, to the surprise of no-one Valencia opted out of making the move permanent.

At 14.09 on Tuesday Sky Sports reported:
Rangers have made contact with Bournemouth over a deal for defender Max Aarons.
It is understood the Ibrox club want to take the 25-year-old on loan following his spell at Valencia for the second half of last season.
Bournemouth are believed to favour a permanent exit for the player, who has a long-term contract.
The right-back, who can also play at left-back, is also wanted by other clubs in the English Championship and abroad.
With a contract running until June 2029 Bournemouth will be in no rush to send Aarons out on loan at this stage of the window, they’ll be hoping for a transfer fee and permanent move for the misfit.
The player has four more years of EPL level wages assured, despite the investment from the Andrew Cavenagh Revolution there is no chance that those wages will be matched at Ibrox.
Five days before pre-season training gets underway Lyall Cameron is the only addition to last season’s serial losers.

It is clear Bournemouth want him gone for that thing Ibrox can’t offer ie money.
All this alleged £20m interest from Barcelona Bayern Arsenal Man U Liverpool etc is fine but when he made the step up it seems he bombed.
Putting him in the shop window at Valencia also seems to have been a spectacular failure. So if they want him to go somewhere where he can demonstrate he is still a viable £7m asset then it won’t be Ibrox.
Doing well in Scotland will not change the perception of him as clubs have seen how badly other big money Ibrox transfers fared in better leagues. So I reckon they will sell him for best price or loan him somewhere where he can show he can genuinely cut it at highest levels
Just in the last year, Bajrami 4 million world beater, Propper 3.2 million world beater, Jefte 800k next Real Madrid fullback, Barron 600k, world beater, Nsiala free, next AC Milan fullback, Fernades Loan, world beater, and Kajanwirjo Loan, world beater. The Scottish press waxed lyrical about how good they all were and the millions, trillions and UCL teams they’d play for shortly. Everyone of them a dud. I could go on, How do these so called reporters live with themselves, you’d be black affronted to go out in public cheering on that lot. More duds to come, more laughter and howling from us. Keep up the good work lads at Ibrokes and the SMSM.
‘ Tis the season of the annual Summer cup to be won … especially from the SMSM . All of that silverware , every close season is highly impressive in the eyes of the poodle scoops !
It’s the fact that they think Poku turned down £30,000 bangers a week at Birmingham to go to sevco for half that wage.
Good Pod guys this week.
Although Joe was like rev I AM Jolly earlier.
We need to instill some hunger into the youths at Celtic.
Good players but lacking something.
As for Acme Fc. This 20m is not there until certain things are rubber stamped at the EGM.
They would laugh at us selling a player for Good money and buying a 3m prospect.
That’s where they’re going. The difference is our money is in the bank.
Their profit would be exchanged to dollars and dished out to the consortium
There’s talk, endless talk, then there’s what can be seen. Bail out. Austerity. Re-start. I’ve no doubt that Rangers* can find shite players, they’ve a knack for it, it’ll just be cheaper ones from now on.
Is he not ‘jetting in’
Are Sevco not ‘swooping’
Oh Dearie Dearie Dearie me then !
