Paraag Marathe thinks that the lure of the 49ers will have the world’s top players beating a path to the state-of-the-art training facilities at Murray Park to sign up for Russell’s Revolution.
The Leeds United chairman made the claim to the written media at Ibrox on Monday before they scuttled off to apply top spin as they jockeyed for positions as favoured messengers of the new regime at Ibrox.
Competition to become the number one go-to source is fierce, Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh said next to nothing on Monday but the messengers already had their overblown fantasies oven-ready.
All that was required was a few quotes to pad out their works of fiction.
Harry Darling has already said no thanks, Kwame Poku is heading for the bright lights of QPR with Lyall Cameron the only new face reporting to Murray Park on Monday for pre-season training alongside the serial losers.
It seems that an ‘investment’ of £20m to cover running costs and some American analytics will turn the tide with players rushing to sign up as soon as they hear the numbers 4 and 9.
Delivering the buzzwords required, the Daily Record reports Marathe saying:
It matters to players that we are out recruiting. ‘Oh wait a second, the 49ers are involved in this?’ This must mean that there is a certain extra gravitas that comes to it that helps us in the recruitment of players.
What’s different is that here, there’s not many clubs in the world where you have the hope and the expectation of being able to win the league, play in Europe and to win cups.
And Rangers is a crown jewel of Europe. And every year we get to have that hope and expectation. Frankly, that’s different.
Max Aarons seems close to signing up on loan for a season without any option to make the move permanent. Conor Coady is hiding out at the World Club Championships in the USA with his phone switched off with less than four weeks to go until Panathinaikos visit the Old Castle of Ibrox.
James Tavernier is believed to be disappointed at this news, much like the club ignoring the Testimonial Match for their Hall of Fame skipper.
NOTE: Players tend to be motivated by money when it comes to transfers, ask Danilo, Jack Butland, Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz why they are in Glasgow.

Should have finished off his speech by singing we’re of to see the wizard of oz
The 49s a thought that was twice daily bet in the bookies.
The yanks are yanking the sevco fans chains again.
Players tend to sign for cash, not who owns or may own the club/company.
It’s interesting that they have already said the 49ers are minor investors to get around dual ownership issues and yet here we have one of the main guys using their name to entice players. Either they are major players or not.
It will be interesting to see these guys reaction when they realise that their £20M injection is simply being used as intravenous fluid to keep the lights on. At current burn rate £20M will last them just over a season and a half.
Ringers are the clown car of Europe. PAAARRRP!
??????????
The 49ers win fuck all – Neither do Sevco…
That’ll do for me !
