Despite being in close season mode the latest Trinity Tims podcast lasted almost 90 minutes even if one of the hosts had to drop out.

There was a lengthy discussion about the prospect of Celtic linking up with Queens Park to give a group of player experience of first team football at Championship level.

Unfortunately after four wasted years in the Lowland League Celtic barely have any players ready to play at that level, the current crop of players are more likely to remain in the Lowland League than reach the giddy heights of Cappielow, Firhill or Starks Park.

There are multiple reasons for the current state of affairs but since joining the Lowland League in season 21/22 the development of players has gone into reverse.

Things are so bad that Michael Nicholson couldn’t name the last player to step up from the Academy to start an SPFL Premiership match.

Owen Moffat, St Mirren away, December 2021, his final Celtic appearance if you are readying Mikey bhoy.

Inevitably there was chat about the usual summer hysteria at Ibrox.

Russell Martin was the last man standing after other candidates took to the hills, the vegan, Buddhist who is a member of the Green Party will head up the annual Revolution.

Virtually nothing is known about Andrew Cavenagh, his fellow investors and their motives but all areas of legacy and fan media at Ibrox all agree that everything is wonderful, good times are ahead with The Banter Years concluded.

Hopefully there is a treble heading their way with elimination from the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Conference before the end of August.

If that happens there could be some very interesting times for the sandal wearing Culture Architect now in charge of first team matters.
