Yogi Junior has shamed Roger Mitchell into silence after the former SPL CEO decided to criticise the Celtic supporters who visited his beloved Como over the last few days.
Mitchell is one of those chin-stroking do-gooders that likes to claim to be a Celtic fan while having nothing in common with rank and file supporters as he lectures from afar about his own righteousness.
A bit like Pat Nevin as he transitioned into a Hibs fan while securing his media roles with the BBC and Chelsea TV.
Mitchell doesn’t like the fact that Celtic fans show their support for Palestine on the world stage, he could probably cope with private backing out of view but bringing it to his adopted home city was certainly too close to home for the intellectual fraud.
When Yogi provided some context and disagreement with the former SPL chief wee Roger spat the dummy and blocked the Twitter account of Yogi who’ll take that as a badge of honour. An endorsement of his views and argument.
The edge that Celtic supporters bring to matches is what makes the club special, not the incredible bank balances, transfer surpluses and huge annual Corporation Tax payments to HMRC.
Being public with their support for Palestine and the associated issues has brought Celtic a new wave of supporters, from afar others see a support that stands up for what is right while others go with the flow terrified to deviate from what is acceptable to their corporate backers.
Mitchell prefers to nod and smile while shuffling along to the back of the bus.
No Roger, it’s you that’s the unwelcome guest.
Some things transcend football.
Some things don’t have two sides to the story, unless you want to explain how it was traumatising to the Nazi’s having to murder all those Jews.

Mitchell was CEO of the SPL from 1998 to 2002 during the period when he registered the token contracts issued to Tore Andre Flo and Ronald de Boer by Rangers.
He never batted an eyelid over how players from Barcelona and Chelsea were attracted to Ibrox for smaller contracts than they were reported to be earning in Spain and England.
At the same time Celtic awarded contracts to Chris Sutton, Neil Lennon, John Hartson, Alan Thompson and Henrik Larsson that were way in excess of the payments being made through the books to Flo and de Boer.
Mitchell raced to the broadcasters and sponsors to secure new, improved contracts, no doubt enjoying a bonus or two for his self declared negotiating skills.
As HMRC later discovered Flo and de Boer had side letters giving them massive payments through the Discounted Options Scheme which came to light when the Metropolitan Police raided Ibrox in 2007 on another matter.
The tax bills for Flo and De Boer came to £2.8m and were never repaid, despite having that unpaid bill the SFA continued to sign off the Rangers accounts and nominate them to play in UEFA competitions- handicapping teams on the continent as well as Scotland against a club that refused to pay HMRC in the same way as their opponents.
Effectively using players that they couldn’t afford, paying for footballers while ignoring an overdue tax bill simply because they knew that the SFA, with Campbell Ogilvie and Gordon Smith as Presidents would never apply UEFA rules and take action.
In the coming weeks Mitchell is expected to be interviewed by Kenny Macintyre and Graham Spiers to condemn the actions of the Celtic support because Roger is presented to the media as a Selik man.

Yogi tweeted to Mitchell:

The only people who think this is ‘complicated’ are those supporting, enabling or performing a genocide. The club is not in a mess. The vast majority of the fans understand what oppression, apartheid & genocide look like, and are very happy with the stance on solidarity with the Palestinian people.
You don’t need to like it, and you don’t need to follow a club whose origins seem to have eluded you. There’s another club in Glasgow who would welcome your attitude & support.
After being blocked he added:

The fact he thinks the conversation is still about politics is the first clue that Roger is an intellectual fraud. Then there’s the fact he’s still quote tweeting about it, but not referencing my post obviously, because he got utterly obliterated by all you lot Blocked me obviously.
I think he might be a bit upset about the reaction to his original post & the reaction to my response Zionist lovers like Roger, are just despicable black holes of hatred. Cowards & monsters.

Looking at that picture, at least we now know what happened when wee Jimmy Crankie grew up. Another spineless genocide apologist, calling people out for the crime of being appalled by innocent people, including babies and children, being bombed and starved to death. You don’t have to be “pro-Palestinian” or an “anti-Semite” to be against what is being done to these poor people by the Israeli regime (not by Israel, as many people there are just as appalled at what is being done in their name), many of whom have had to suffer decades of oppression already.
Well said John Hughes.
You have inherited a valuable conscience from your loving family.
“While others go with the flow terrified to deviate from what is acceptable to their corporate backers” Poor very Poor
While you go after someone for attacking a section of the Celtic support for their beliefs you do the same to another section regardless of the size of either section
Editor: Absolutely, Rodger is a token Celtic fan, money is his number one goal as he showed at the SPL as he approved the contracts for Flo and de Boer so that he could pick up bonus payments from his O** F*** commercial deals. Never said a word about the issue since.
Has Mitchell got a new book coming out soon , or a new podcast or has he acquired a new job …maybe all 3 ? ‘ Cos there is nothing like a nice bit of pre publicity for a new venture ..of the buckshee kind ..is there ? If the guy turned out to be Donald Trump’s hair sprayer / comb over guy , par excellence every time he landed in wee Scotland ….I still would not know who he is ! ” Has anyone seen Mr President’s hair net ? “
Well said Yogi Junior. There are many millions of people totally disgusted at what they are seeing in Gaza, and not just Celtic supporters. We are witnessing an ethnic cleansing genocide unfold on those poor people in front of our eyes, and many cannot understand why our politicians are doing nothing to prevent it from happening/continuing – if only we had a human rights lawyer for PM to stand up to this atrocity.
I think, for what its worth that everyone should block him. That way he can twitter to himself
