Jude Bonnar is reported to be close to joining Ayr United on a season long loan.
The midfielder made one first team appearance off the bench last season and was involved in Friday’s friendly against Queens Park but missed the visit to Cork City.
During the close season the SFA set up a co-operation scheme where Premiership clubs could loan more than two players to a club in each of the lower divisions with the allowance that they could be recalled if the need arises.
It had been assumed that Celtic would partner up with Queens Park but the Scott Brown link seems to have swung the move for Bonnar.

Last season Josh Clarke and Lenny Agbair were on loan at Ayr who reached the Premiership Play Offs but lost out to Partick Thistle.
Players can be loaned to different clubs in the same division, Bonnar could find himself in action against Celtic team-mates  elsewhere in the Championship.
At the age of 19 Bonnar is at a critical stage in his career, to progress at Celtic he needs to make a huge impression at Ayr in order to be pushing strongly for a Celtic place in 12 months time.

The Scottish FA has given clubs the go-ahead to implement these changes from June 16.
Talks of partnerships are already underway, with clubs such as Celtic in discussions with Queen’s Park, Rangers with Raith Rovers, and Dundee United with Montrose.
Dane Murray and Adam Montgomery were on loan at Queens Park last season, Championship clubs are in action in the League Cup this weekend as clubs finalise their squads, Ayr United kick off away to Annan Athletic on Tuesday.

Clearly this lad has potential. Much is made of game time but surely training with the first team every day would be of benefit in his learning.
If he was good enough for the 1st team he’d be training with the 1st team. He’s joining a decent team and Scott Brown will surely coach the kid well. This also has no bearing on the partnership with Queens Park and why should it? They are limited to the amount of players they can get and all loans need to have a condition that the club fits the needs of the player. Teams do not just send development players randomly out on loan
