Lenny Agbaire appears to be leaving Celtic to join Rotherham United.

The central defender was involved in last season’s first team pre-season friendlies but has been missing from the matches against Queens Park and Cork City.

Agbaire got a taste of first team football at Ayr United in the second half of last season, now it seems that he is set to continue his career with Rotherham.

The Celtic website describes Agbaire as:

Agbaire has also showcased his ability in both penalty areas, proving to be a dangerous threat from set plays and getting his hand in a number of goals this season.

The talented centre-back signed a fresh two-year contract with the Hoops in the summer of 2024 and gained valuable experience during a six-month loan spell with Celtic legend Scott Brown’s Ayr United side.

He become a first-team regular soon after arriving at Somerset Park in January 2025, going on to make 16 appearances, helping the Championship side reach the play-offs.
