Brendan Rodgers has dipped deep into his squad for his Starting XI against Newcastle today.
After four matches on the road Celtic are back on home soil with Dane Murray, Hayato Inamura, Yang Hyun-jun and Johnny Kenny among the starters.
Rodgers has picked what could be a first choice midfield, the strongest area of the squad but elsewhere there are opportunities for younger players to push for  more regular involvement.
Despite an injury scare away to Sporting Lisbon Adam Idah is among the substitutes, as is the returning Paolo Bernardo although Cameron Carter-Vickers is still not in contention.
Next up for Celtic is a trip to Italy where they will take on Ajax at the Como Cup on Thursday followed by a weekend match.
After that it is on to the competitive stuff starting with a home tie against St Mirren on August 3 as Brendan Rodgers side start their defence of the SPFL Premiership title.
CELTIC: Schmeichel; Ralston, Murray, Trusty, Inamura; McGregor, Cowans, Engels; Yang, Kenny, Maeda
SUBS: Sinisalo, Doohan, Clarke, Scales, Nygren, Idah, Osmond, Tilio Bernardo, Summers, Montgomery, Hatate, McPherson, Ure, Forrest, Donovan Tierney

Injury scare for Adam Idah .. we were scared he might not be injured ? ..( not wishing any harm on anyone ..)
Well worth the £25 admission fee.
McGregor is doing more than he is capable of. Asking for two yard passes!?
Give him a rest and see what the team can do without him!
I think it is just us two. I have been saying this for years.
Good result but the commentators are so bad they are comical. They must have been told at half-time to gee it up a bit so they started speaking faster but the same monotone voices.
Hilarious.
I don’t know if like to be alone with you Charlie!
You can include me.
Threesome then?
I think you read me wrong Chalie. Fock off!
So glad that travelling Hun support got what they deserved today…humped.
They had a huge Butcher’s Apron with God Save The Queen on it.
Maybe the news hasn’t reached the North of England yet….feckin’ twats.
As for us…very good all round performance.
Thought Trusty shut a lot of his critics up today.
Work rate is tremendous…If we keep that up this season…we’ll be hard to beat.
Onwards and upwards Celtic
The pictures of Geordies alongside huns waving Union Jacks that SunSport Scotland etc had planned to use all night are in the bucket
The SunSport Scotland are often in fact probably always pathological liars Harold !
Joe, it’s a preseason friendly which we made the most of. All good. I’m no happy clapper but come on! We were nothing but good today.
Demand for Anti-biotics goes through the roof on Saturday night!
It was only a friendidly. but it does give an insight into the
“Most Competative League In The World”.
Cannon fodder for the big guns, is docha!
