  1. The board are laughing all the way to bank, the fans can get to the back of the bus.

  2. If he has been identified as a talent that will make a difference to the team then just pay the goddam fee.
He’s the same player be it 3m or 6m ffs.
If he’s good enough just “ SHOW THEM THE MONEY!!”
It will reach the stage clubs wont answer the phone when they hear its us on the phone ffs.

  3. I understand that the quality of the league is not up there with a big 5 BUT to say that a winger from a team on the periphery such as Go Ahead in Holland or Famalicão in Portugal (Teams fighting for the middle of the table WHERE the big teams in their own leagues sometimes cherry pick and give a platform to improve) would not see playing for Celtic as a step up in their career is blinkered. We have made around 20M in transfers, what with fees, sell ons etc – ALL of that should be used to IMPROVE the squad!

The board can add to their money mountain the merch money (see just today they have sent an email askng to buy KTs return merch !!) Season tickets plus Competition prizes. So in this case they are not actually SPENDING anything just REDISTRIBUTING the income on player trading to player acquisition … IF they saw Breum as Kuhns replacement then WHY only value him at half the price they bought KUHN for in the first place and definitely no where near the price that they sold him for ??? Do they think this is the early 2000s where an outlay of 6M gets you a player like Sutton or Lennon from the EPL ??

Both of those in today´s market would have cost around 20-25 M each!! It looks on the outside that our own board want to Sabotage our own manager, by making sure that his squad is not settled before the season starts ?? And if any of the board apologists think otherwise can they explain the strategy because I sure as hell don´t understand it !!!

  4. Go Ahead are entitled to ask for this price.
If Celtic want him, at least go near the price they want.
What Celtic are doing is NOT negotiation, it is LOW-BALLING.
My club is becoming an embarrassment.

  5. Corporate greed ,don’t know what’s going on in the background but behaving as in financial difficulties, or is it just a bigger dividend for them

  6. We are at the ridiculous stage now. The board refuse to improve the team, low balling and slow moving. It’s amazing how quick they can deliver their own signings. They are going to sell league cup and CL qualifying tickets before the window closes to pull in another £3million from us. The fans who have shares need to find away of forming a collective voice, this transfer strategy is a £40 million gamble and is not acceptable. My only way of protesting is to refuse to buy any merchandise.

    1. Now we have our season tickets, give them fuck all else until the board act like professionals in a professional football club. No merch, no cup tickets, fk the Champions League ( if we evn get there) as they are ripping the pish. Charging top dollar for a half arsed product. Insulting our intelligence by pretending to be a top Euro club. Be upfront at least with the clubs complete lack of ambition and lower the prices to SPFL standards. I could at least have respect for that.

  7. Go Ahead Eagles have reduced the price to 5m Euro,s , not 5m sterling, It’s the Clubs choice, we are happy keeping him and he is very happy to stay and start with us this Sunday against PSV, in the Super Cup, But he would like a change to Celtic.

  8. Why are so many fans anxious to sign this guy? How many had even heard of him six months ago? We had all this last year with Idah – ” oh, just pay Norwich what they’re asking for”. Well that turned out well didn’t it – 9million wasted on a guy who spent his career on the bench at Norwich and will end up doing the same at Parkhead. Be careful what you wish for.

    1. Im not “anxious “ to sign him, but if he’s been identified by our scouting system as a possible asset, why are they fucking about?
Its almost as if they are trying to piss BR off enough for him to walk again so they have a scapegoat.
I admire him for sticking to his word to be honest cos many wuda walked before now.

      1. To be honest, I’ve never been convinced BR wants to stay beyond his contract. His ambition still lies in England and Celtic are just a useful stopgap until something ‘better’ turns up like before.

how, you could stand at the front door with a placard, start an online petition, buy some advertising space to raise the concerns, get like minded individual to turn up at a designated space, dont attend matches or buy celtic tv.

    lots you could do.

  10. We are not going to find any better than Kuhn so we have to ask why did he want leave.

My belief is he was fed up with the lack of service and irked at being made scapegoat for the Cup Final defeat against Aberdeen as he stood waiting for the midfield and the defence to end their tippy tappy football.

Unless that is sorted it doesn’t matter who we sign.

    1. He left because Jefte smashed him in the face at Liebrox in front of a linesman and sweet fuck all was done about it either by Don Robertson !
