As away days go a trip to Glasgow is probably one of the highlights of the season for Newcastle fans.
Rarely will they get an allocation of more than 3,000 for matches in the super duper EPL, yesterday the doors to Celtic Park were thrown open with around 10,000 away fans quickly buying up the tickets priced at £25 each.
Predictably there was an element of those attracted that identify with Glasgow’s newest football club, they were welcomed with open arms and open teeth to the remaining pubs in and around the city that cling on to the power of the fading blue pound.
Imagine going on a city trip and choosing The Bristol Bar, The Louden Tavern or Oswalds Bar for a spot of lunch surrounded by images of a monastery that would cross the road to avoid contact with their worshiping subjects.
I saw a few in Glasgow earlier : fat , baldy , tattooed , beer bellied morons . And the men were the same ?

Pre-match and in the early stages many of the away fans were full of the battle fever, probably assisted by some locals from Bridgeton, Larkhall, Kilwinning and Bearsden.
Celtic fans weren’t goaded into retaliation, they were there for the football and a look at how their club was shaping up for the new season.
Arne Engels gave Celtic the lead, shortly before half time Nick Pope, who had been abused by many Newcastle fans during the first half, had a howler as Johnny Kenny doubled Celtic’s lead.
Once Yang Hyun-jun put Celtic 3-0 in front the visitors started to head for the exits, their decibel level certainly dropped, most of the away support had been replaced by green seats by the time Liam Scales headed in the fourth goal.
After the match a decent number of Newcastle fans were in and around the Trongate, Glasgow Cross and out own Gallowgate, not all of them are wrong ‘uns enjoying a night out well away from the pubs offering them free pies and bacon rolls with every Gazza mask sold.

Credit where it’s due, given a couple of seasons they could definitely establish themselves as a top 6 side in Scotland.

Could you explain why you haven’t done a report on the game yet you done a story on the Under 21s getting beat. Very strange.
A great result.
Editor: Most Celtic fans watched the match, if you fancy an old school match report I would recommend the Daily Record, BBC Scotland or your super duper CQN for in depth analysis, cheers.
Or me…just sayin’…
Same old crap response from you. You have no interest in reporting the Newcastle game yet you can’t wait to report the negatives of the Under 21s game. A strange sad mindset.
Editor: Goodbye Jimmy, kind regards to all the lads at CQN, enjoy the bowling season.
Do you need to find fault every time? All it takes is a positive comment on a positive display

I’ve come across a few of them over the years…and their ” second ” team is always Sevco…Yesterday was a delight for me.
Like Ronnie keeps saying in the film McVicar
” Fucking Geordie maggots “
Engurlands Sevco fans have a lot in common wae their embryo club counterparts, ugly neanderthals that also piss off after their team go 3-0 down……
HH
That’s sevco’s doppelganger klub from the Northern part of England, the South would be Chelsea.
who said – Inamura will never get a game for Celtic ?
I bet you’ve had many a log in your own eye
Jeez, its the CQN bawbag now haunting all the other Celtic sites like a bad smell
whoooooo whoooo
Am sure the board made sure all tickets were sold hence the huns boarding trains @ hamilton ect with tickets. And the pubs full and the songs led by them. Anything for a quid. The board are a disgrace. Lets make sure the question is asked @ the agm. Were all tickets sold? Because we know a boycott was on
