  1. You wonder if anyone at Celtic actually knows what they are doing or is everything just left to chance. Certainly there are some chancers running the club.

  2. The fact that Nawrocki was allowed to go on loan to Hanover, while Trusty and Scales remain the prefered pair for Rodgers, certainly extends the question marks about the running of the club to the manager. Nawrocki is a far superior defender, yet he’s the one out the door. I know I’ll get pelters for saying this, but I don’t really think Rodgers is that great a manager. I’m sorry to have to say it but the Nawrocki business together with the recruitment of very average players like Idah & Engels for silly money is worrying. Now he seems content to talk about bringing Dane Murray into first team as a defender instead of buying in a quality player. Just look at the other cheap signings we’re making while losing quality like Kyogo and Kuhn and it does begin to look like Celtic are in for a tough run next season. The signs are not good.

    1. Totally agree with you, I’m already on record as saying that the board and possibly BR are quite content to spend the minimum amount of money which is made up off transfer fees generated by players being offloaded , I’ve already said ( how many millions do they need ) I get the impression that they don’t care if a league is lost every now and then , they need to get a grip ,

    2. Martin, I have been saying this for a while I think the biggest problem at Celtic is Rodgers with regards to his tactics and team selection. Maeda born to play through the middle so let’s stick him back in the wing, they won’t be expecting that.

      It’s General Melchett stuff.

Perhaps the coaching staff have to be changed as well

The board spent 11 million on the wrong midfielder, now touted as a “give him a year” project and surely BR had to sign off on that and then guarantees his place.

Getting Leicester relegated was a red flag, similarly with Martin at Sevco where he is coming off of a disaster with Southampton. Shows they cannot adapt to challenges.

The problem is that Rodgers looks and sounds the part of an “elite” manager and I am sure he will walk into a middling EPL team at the end of next season, as that is all you seem to need in this game.

  3. I hope Tilio won’t be going anywhere until he is given a fair go to show his wares.
Rodgers has his favourites. Jamesy is one.
John Kennedy will be fair with Marco. After looking at Marco at training after slight recovery
from serious injury, Rodgers said to the Press that Marco was not ready for the physicality of Scottish football.

Marco turned up at Glasgow injured and it got worse. He appeared in two senior games with
bugger all minutes of playing time. Tilio said Ange had zilch to do with Celtic FC contracting him.. Scot pundits have not seen Tilio play or make an impact in the SPL, so shut your cake holes. Don’t call players misfits, duds and nasty adjectives until you see them properly. Be respectful.
When at Celtic FC, Rodgers gives U21 Academy prospects a run pre-season and that’s about it. Like Thomas the Tank Engine, they move on.
James Forrest turns 34 years old Monday 7 July 2025.

  4. I wish the fans would start a campaign to rid us of peter lawell and the empty shirt that is Nicholson. Would love to know what really happened with the board and McKay. I think if he had stayed in the jobthe club would have been in a far better position than we are. Every transfer window is the same with these fuckers in charge. I honestly cant wrap my head around it. Ot a problem entirely of the boards making

    1. I couldn’t agree more and I’ve been calling Lawwell out for the best part of 15 years on various Tim sites.
His interference emerged that long ago and it’s obvious he’s still at it. The pattern of NEVER making quick, brave choices and of being more interested in what’s happening at Ibrox instead of building a team for Europe which would always be more than enough for domestic games. The clowns that believe Lawwell’s been good for Celtic FC are either blind or stupid and probably both. Lawwell is for Lawwell and Desmond and it’s ALL about those two greedy, capitalist, parasitic bastards with NO CARE WHATSOEVER for our supporters.
“Just milk them and they’ll get what they’re given.”
I live a coupla hundred miles from CP but I’d join any organised demo to rid the club of the whole board and to ‘encourage’ Desmond to sell his shares and fukk off outa Dodge.
Of course, it’s then all about who comes in so we’d need to make the point openly so that similar scum don’t replace them.
Hail! Hail! The Glasgow Celtic FC, fukk the board and the PLC.

      1. I’m in agreement with you,Lawell only looks at profit margins, he doesn’t believe in taking the odd chance and spend a little more than normal , the fans will at some point need to take a stand .

  5. So the Brugge game today was described in the daily sevco as a bounce because it turned out a 2-2 draw,no doubt had sevco won it they would be bragging about the win.
So if it’s described as a bounce game does anyone know what price the ticket was for the game remember it’s only a bounce game.

Looks like an action replay from last season going 2 goals down then chasing the game,do that again in the Champions League qualifier they ain’t coming back from that.

  6. Lol why F**K would the board be paying out £25,000 a week and upwards for player or players to be there from early June or July when the season ain’t kicking in until August.
All them bang bangs a week on players when they ain’t even playing properly for the club as yet, that a lot of bang bangs getting saved.

So yes it will be last minute.com transfers coming in the door, probably to match the fees for players the same as sevco, infact don’t be surprised if sevco spend more than us this season.

Remember only my opinion as I have said before which is like ARSEHOLES,everybody has one so don’t shoot the messenger.

  7. Reading the comments here, I think we are all in general agreement that the Board, together with their mouthpiece, Brendan, should be booted out unless they start forking out quickly for some decent quality players. They must think the fans heads button up the back with the Poundland signings they’re making right now, while clawing in millions from the sale of Kyogo and Kuhn. And if Brendan really is upset about the situation, as some “insiders” report, then let him play the man’s part and start making demands of his pals on the Board, otherwise his reputation will be in tatters.

I cannot count the numbers of fans who have told me how bored they get watching a Brendan Rodgers side play – this side-to-side, back-to-middle, middle-to-back, side-to-side monotonous method he operates without a plan B. Postecoglu at least played fast-paced attacking football that entertained. It was after he left that Kyogo seemed to lose his mojo, becomming a misfit in Brendan’s boring, dragged out style of play. Then they bring in Engels and Idah for £20m when the pair are hardly worth £5m combined. I now see they’re eyeing Baliwisha from Antwerp again, another average player. They’ve brought in a young Japanese defender – only six-months in professional football and from a side threaned with relegation. Other names being touted as potential signings are also unheard ofs, all around, or below, the £3m mark. It’s a disgrace, as is this annual dragging out of transfer business. Get the damn deals done for quality players or stop charging the fans ridiculous money for season tickets – that’s my message to Desomnd, Lawwell and Nicholson. Time for change in Board and management, me thinks!
