Ibrox fans have been handed the crushing news that they wont be receiving £3m from the transfer of Malik Tillman from PSV Eindhoven to Bayer Leverkusen.
For more than two years the myth has been accepted that every time the midfielder is involved in a transfer that money flies into the Ibrox bank account.
Tillman spend one miserable season on loan at Ibrox, signed on loan by Gio van Bronckhorst from Bayern Munich he watched Celtic win a treble before saying no thanks to joining Micky Beale’s Revolution.
Instead, the Brains Behind Gerrard splashed out on Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Danilo.
Rather than admit that the player had mo interest in returning to Ibrox the Rangers Review concocted an incredible yarn to comfort their readers.
Somehow too many bells and whistles were added, late on Saturday night David Edgar of Heart and Hand decided that it was time to prick that bubble of delusion.

On 20 June 2023 the Rangers Review revealed the blockbuster windfall:
The Rangers Review can confirm that Bayern Munich have cancelled the option-to-buy clause that was inserted in the deal to bring the 21-year-old to Ibrox on loan last summer.
However, Rangers will be compensated for the German club’s decision with a £1 million cancellation fee.
As part of the cancellation clause, Rangers will also be entitled to 10% of the fee Bayern receive from selling Tillman this summer.
The USA international is attracting serious interest from England, Germany and Italy with the expectation that he will be sold for a fee in excess of £10million.
Brighton and Brentford are monitoring Tillman’s situation while there are potential suitors from the Bundesliga, with one Serie A club having expressed an interest recently.
If Tillman’s sale proceeds, as expected, then Rangers are in line to net over £2m from Bayern due to their decision to terminate the option-to-buy clause.
The cancellation clauses were inserted into the deal to bring Tillman to Ibrox last summer by Ross Wilson to protect Rangers as there was an expectation that he could flourish in Scotland and Bayern would want to sell for a higher fee.
The Rangers Review understands the buy-clause to sign Tillman permanently was for £5.8 million and Bayern had the first option to buy-back at around £9 million.
There was a general consensus amongst senior sources at Rangers last summer that Tillman was unlikely to be developed at the club over a number of years, to eventually be sold on for a huge transfer fee.
Not since the summer of 2012 has such a mangled and distorted version of reality been published.
None of the elaborate story stands up, readers were taken for idiots, soon after publication that Tillman add-ons were being relayed across all legacy media outlets in Scotland.
In the rush to share good news on the back of another Celtic treble the Tillman tale was too good to miss out on- even if those publishing it had their doubts.

Since that deal Abdallah Sima and Vaclav Cerny have come and gone from Ibrox without a penny returning.
A club can have an option or even an obligation to buy on a loan deal but getting bought out by the parent club and compensated by future add-ons is the sort of far fetched yarn that only the Rangers Review, part of the Newsquest group could conjure up and publish.

IF they were to get any % of any transfer it would have been the Bayern to PSV deal. Any future deal the only % ANY club gets (that is not the selling club) is a development %.
Which is why when Kuhn was sold to Como .. the development sides got a % of the transfer. As Tillman was ON LOAN and not THEIR player they would get NOTHING … as Willy Wonka would say … YOU LOSE … GOOD DAY GENTLEMAN !!
