Josh Windass on the radar for Ibrox return

Ibrox fans have been given a chilling alternative to signing lower league journeymen and EPL rejects.

After a slow start the Russell Revolution has been cranked up with raids on Peterborough, Bournemouth and Luton to splash the cash with others of that ilk in the pipeline.

This week Martin’s patchwork squad, still containing all of last season’s contracted serial losers are training at St George’s Park where Sheffield Wednesday are one of the other clubs using the facilities.

The Championship side have been dealing with a variety of financial issues with claims that wages payments have been delayed with a points deduction possible for next season.

One of the stars from last season at Hillsborough is Josh Windass with some bears indulging in the classic two plus two strategy of ‘bringing him home’.

Sheffield winger  Djeidi Gassama is the main focus of Ibrox transfer interest but with their dire finances a raid on Windass is possible.

The 31-year-old is likely to have other offers from Championship clubs but a return to Ibrox where he spent two years of failure trying to become a character can’t be ruled out.

No offers have been made for Cyriel Dessers, Hamza Igamane or Robin Propper despite all three agreeing personal terms to move elsewhere.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

Oh dear they might as well throw in wee Barry as well if the auld squad are making a special guest star appearance.

  • Ciarán says:

And yet the Gullibillies still think they’re ‘minted’!!

  • BriBhoy says:

When does Andy Halliday’s contract with Well run out? I think we would all love to see him come back ‘home’ (he certainly spends more time talking about that mob than his current club). How about Bilel Moshni? Filip Sebo? Is Joey Barton still available, or do his ankle tag and probation conditions not allow him to travel that far?

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

We are just as bad as Sevco for bringing ex players ‘back’ !!!

  • Bob (original) says:

Martin must have been desperate to take on the sevco ‘Head Coach’ role,

knowing he must get a tune out of a squad mostly consisting of serial losers,

lingering around ibrox since Beale and Clement were in charge.

As far as quality, known, paid-for players arriving at ibrox:

do the bears still not get it – nobody is coming!

But, we all know how this movie goes…

sevco unsurprisingly don’t raise its game – and it’s all Martin’s fault.

He must be ‘worth a punt to be punted’ by Christmas?
