The latest edition of The Trinity Tims podcast, broadcast live on Sunday again provoked plenty of debate and discussion.
Between 100 and 150 tuned in live adding their comments and views, unfortunately the Happy Clappers CSC also tuned in alongside their chums at The Balance Sheet Bhoys. Two days after broadcasting the show had been viewed more than 2,000 times on You Tube.
A decade or more of messaging has certainly made it’s mark on the Celtic support just as Mark did on the squad from 2022 to 2023.
There are genuinely fans out there that react to selling players in the way that other supporters react to winning matches and trophies.
Selling Nicolas Kuhn is some sort of success despite leaving Brendan Rodgers badly short of wingers six weeks before a Champions League Play Off.
While some fans view the Champions League as an opportunity to reinforce the Balance Sheet others would like to see the club fulfil their potential as one of the biggest clubs in Europe outside of the top five leagues.
For the first few minutes of the Podcast I took on the role of a happy clapper, praising the magnificent economics of the club that finished the Scottish Cup Final with a forward line that included Yang Hyun-jun, Johnny Kenny and an utterly exhausted and overused Daizen Maeda.
@Gdboy67, a first time viewer commented:
Lmao i was just on the verge of hitting the ‘dont recommend channel’ button when i heard the big man’s slavish opening speech on liewell & his cohorts & I’m just glad i had a quick look at the comments before i did, cos I thought he was serious great show lads & you’re speaking about the things that anger so many of us.
Thankfully reality soon kicked in with an honest discussion about the matters affecting Celtic and supporters.
Neither myself, James from the Celtic Blog or Eric at Read Celtic are on the fan media rota. Getting a once a month invite to ask a question from the back of the bus isn’t really of interest.
The events at Ibrox are also covered with the £3.5m signing of a Peterborough journeyman providing much humour as the media messengers tried to apply polish and top spin with Emmanuel Fernandez while Barry Fry and Darragh MacAnthony laughed their way to the bank.
@walterfoster016bw added:
Really glad I found your podcast. Reality at last, you are absolutely correct accountants ruin everything. They are waiting till we qualify for the champions league before investing. Keep it real. Thank you.

Had to laugh when a heard San fran Celtics name coming up! Blocked him on Twitter the other day, and roaster doesn’t even do it justice! Apparently I’m a hun for being concerned about our transfer dealings! San fran would jump off the Golden Gate Bridge if lawell told him to! The ultimate happy clapper!

Is that the same podcast that you absolutely slaughtered the signing of Inamura.only to give him a glowing report a few days later. You and the Happy clappers on here could have egg on your face.
Editor: Brendan Rodgers needs first team ready signings, not projects. There are at least three places in the First XI that need strengthened long before the August 19/20 Champions League Play Off.
You’re taking that too far,jimmythemoonlight.
I agree with you on that front.
Oh dear just read an article in the daily sevco there by 2 arsehole journalists Robbie Copland and Greame Young acting like a couple of 13 year old fighting over a scud book with the praise of the sevco manager his 6 signings to date wuth another 6 on the way.
THEY 2 ARSEHOLES SHOULD BE JAILED FOR THE SHITE THEY PUT OUT.
They’ll just be two Pathological Liars Joker !
Hi Joe,
Thanks for the article and I watched the podcast on Youtube. Is it available via normal pobcasts, as I like listening to them in the car. Cheers and keep up the good work
