At 6.42am on Sunday morning Celtic’s Supporters Liaison Officer tweeted in reply to the range of compaints following Friday’s Scottish Cup tie against Falkirk.
Between 40-50,000 fans were at the match, something of a novelty with sunshine for a Friday night cup-tie that the home side were likely to win.
Most of the fans were Season Ticket holders, paying out another £23 to watch the match on top of their Season Ticket which varies between £6-800 for most adults. On Wednesday it will cost £29 to watch the Champions League Play Off against Kairat Almaty.
It seems that inside the stadium Celtic had decided to go in very heavy to deal with what is termed ‘fan migration’.
While some fans will look to sit somewhere other than their allocated seat the majority of movement will be to meet up with friends, purchase food or even spend more money on club merchandise.
Attempts at movement were being restricted and challenged by a large additional security force, one fan described a concourse as resembling the Berlin Wall.

It seems that Friday’s exercise to deal with Fan Migration involved very little consultation.
Fans could move into the seated areas then move from there but the space to do so is much more restricted.
Until the above tweet there had been no reaction from the club to Friday’s events.
You would imagine that JP Taylor, the club’s SLO would have been involved in the decision and implentation that has sparked such a backlash.
Celtic’s default position on almost everything seems to be silence, Wednesday’s match against Kairat is expected to have the stadium close to capacity.
Lol close to capacity for the champions league qualifier on Wednesday and still no sign of any signings,I blame the fans.
The only way to challenge this is boycott the kiosks. Don’t buy the crap food and drink that’s on sale. Buy on way to match. The hierarchy genuinely despise us imo . They treat us like shit and NEVER EVER communicate with us. The service we get from them is appalling

Other than people trying to get in to the standing area when they don’t have tickets for it – which already had it’s own solution in place – I can’t even see what the problem was that needed such a labour-intensive and unpopular remedy.

The fare for sale in the kiosks is terrible. Someone should tell Liewell and Lord Lucan to get the finger out and do something or else put the fckn club on the market to someone who cares.

In all fairness, John Paul Taylor is doing a remarkably good job considering the lack of support he gets from those on a higher pay grade.
He has to tackle all the supporters questions single handedly and due to the board’s crap decision making he is inundated with problems that should never have arisen in the first place.
Friday night is just the latest in a long line of fuck ups by this incompetent, out of touch bunch of parasites.
Any cup games at Hampden, he has to address God knows how many issues caused by the absolutely not fit for purpose HCTS where fans are placed in an individual ballot but unlike during Covid they are not allowed to be put in a “bubble ” so that all or none in that group get a ticket for the game instead of the present day where fans give away their tickets for cup finals because they don’t want to or are unable to attend without supervision/care.
We are not all able bodied or an age where we can be expected to travel from,eg Northern Ireland or England because parents won’t allow juveniles to travel unescorted.
The guy does a fantastic job ,given the lack of support he gets from Lawwell & Co,who feel there is no need to streamline the scheme as it won’t bring in any extra money.
They still haven’t got round to informing Police Scotland of the problems caused by taxi’s causing post match chaos on the Gallowgate and surrounding roads by waiting to pick up fares,thus reducing an already inadequate means of departure from the stadium footprint to single lane traffic.
Does someone need to be killed before they get off their fat,lazy,good for nothing arses and do something to make this guys job a bit easier.
The SLO isn’t the person who should have been made to deal with Friday night’s fiasco but if he hadn’t we would all be none the wiser.
That’s sad Mickybhoy but I urge you to also take the time to contact the SLO and ask him to forward your letter/email to every plc director and the fat, tory chairman.
If enough of us contact them then they’ll have difficulty ignoring it.
I did similar recently but yet to get a response. However, I think John Paul Taylor (SLO) is a decent guy and I expect to hear from him.
Fergus clearly warned us about letting a cabal like this control the club again.
I believe we are in deep trouble now with this board. They can basically do what they want as we throw cash their way.

Fergus promised he would sell his shares back to the fans after 5 years…that was in the original share prospectus in 1994. Instead, he sold his shares to the golfing Macroom fecker. The present situation is of Fergus’s making.
