  1. …and now the fun begins, when they realise they sold the club to faceless blameless money men who couldn’t give a monkeys how angry they are….

  2. Lol all the duds sorry fuds at the daily devco had the sevco klub holding out for 1-1 or 2-2 draws in the first leg with it all to play for in the return.

Rumour has it that auld pishy pants aka Spew Heevins has doubled down and tipped sevco to go through in the away leg.

  3. I said this recently. If Martin ditches the “schoolboy football”, which has served then well, in Europe they will be slaughtered. The tippy-tappy crappy Celtic football he is now trying to copy will be their undoing.

He praised the energy in the second half but all they did was revert to their old style where the player that gets the ball runs with it and charges towards the goal and they looked much more dangerous.

As well as that they hemmed Bruges in as they tried that crazy playing out from the back where the goalkeeper passes to a back who has three opponents on him.

Not impossible to win by two goals and take it to penalties if he reverts to the old style.

Just as well Martin doesn’t read your blog or he could have had a heads up!

  4. Martin himself said the tie is in the balance… I suppose he’s got to, to keep the flame of hope alive, but it does nothing for his hopes of a decent future position when sacked. His mum is probably saying just come home now son, I’ll make you a nice tea… It’s probably the best advice he’s getting, as his coaching team don’t seem to be providing any! A few points I noted from last night…
It should have been worse, Brugge took the foot of the gas.
Their Captain looks like a bench-warmer now, his legs look gone.
Holding out for high value bids of their “top talent” will not be forthcoming – at this rate they’ll have to sell Gassama to recoup any money to soften the blow of missing the CL!

    1. I wonder if, as you say, Bruges “took their foot off the gas” or did Sevco just find their old high energy game. I think it was the latter, the one that destroyed Rodgers twice.

Is Martin smart enough to work it out and be flexible to change back to what worked in Europe? I hope not.

      1. What sort of Tim would say: “…….. the one that destroyed Rodgers twice.”
Would that be a Lawwell supporter or a ‘loyal-type’ supporter? “I hope not.”

        1. How about …and Mourinho as well?

Sorry but getting skelped by Sevco 3 nil is a destruction as far as I am concerned.

  5. I think that the greatest fan’s in the world should arrange a demonstration walk out in the 12th minute (year of conception), well the one’s that are still there anyway…….

    HH

  6. I have no problem reading this article and help put the boot into Sevco…good on you for that…But if you get a chance Editor can you throw any light onto “comments ” which are appearing on various Celtic blogs…suggesting a “campaign” against BR to get him out the door ?
Do you have any information which would back this up…or is it mere speculation ?

    1. Probably a bit of both. The thinking behind it, as you know, is that the board won’t let BR spend any money if he isn’t going to be here next season, so if he goes they will back the new guy.

Perfect excuse because it makes sense to some degree but “cutting their nose off to spite themselves”.

They have Rodgers over a barrel as he won’t want to walk out again.

It is a bit late now but I think most fans would have forgiven him if he said, at the beginning of the transfer window, “I am going for the sake of the club so that new players can be brought in as the board won’t back me.

As it is he is sort of covering for the board and putting us in “Limbo” for a year.

  7. And yet if anyone listened to BBC Sportsound those ex theRangers players and fan presenters had plenty of positives to take after their home drubbing . In fact those very people were implying that all is not lost in the tie? The great thing about listening and watching to the small army of ex theRangers players and fan boys and girls it employs with our dough , is that they all suffer at the very same time when it goes ‘ nipples up ‘ for the tribute act ! Wee Terry co babbling on Amazon Prime TV was on the verge of bubbling , such was his frustrations and sadness ….have you ever heard so much piffle spouted out from someone’s mouth , like his ? Good God in Govanlandia !

  8. I wonder how the DR clown aka Jackson will re-spin all the bloated bullshit he came out with when the yanks came calling.
Oh, it’s all gone quiet over there……. (I’m guessing here as I wouldn’t buy that or any other SMSM rag, not for love nor money.)
PS The Celtic PLC hierarchy (Lawwell & Desmond) will be delighted we’ve got all this deflection from where our eyes should really be, a lot closer to home and on the transfer situation. Fukkin treacherous rat!

  9. Yes, that’s the problem with absent landlords,

they don’t sit in the stands and get a real feel for what the paying customers think.

[And they probably don’t want to know what the support thinks either?]

The Americans are just interested in the numbers at sevco: it’s just business.

But a non-capacity ibrox for a crucial CL play-off tie must be of concern…?

  10. Russ was a brilliant student at school. 3 A levels. One was in Drama.
Gen Z would love Russ as a British intelligence officer in the movies.
Perhaps himself as a James Bond type.
Cavenagh and Stewart will give Russ plenty of time to turn the big blue ship around.
Cavenagh now knows how rebellious 49 Gers fans can be. The investors must be shit scared.
If this form continues, the Premiership will be a 3 horse race. Could Paddy be taking bets on
what hurdle the jockey in the Union Jack colours will get tossed off.
He must not be verbally abused by the 49 Ger fans. The nasty ones, are part of the Club’s problems. Sorry Russ, you are a better coach and man than those blue nose pricks will ever be.
