Russell Martin stretched his unbeaten run in the SPFL Premiership to three with a battling 1-1 draw away to St Mirren.
Initially the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act opted to postpone the fixture but after drawing at home to St Mirren and falling four points behind Celtic they decided to go ahead with the fixture.
After today’s draw Martin’s side are six points behind Celtic with the champions at Ibrox a week today.
In midweek at home to Brugge hundreds of fans left after 20 minutes, today the anger and abuse was aimed at the hipster in the dug-out as he fiddled with his hair as they watched this season’s Revolution! grinding to a halt.
St Mirren took the lead in the 32nd minute through Jonah Ayunga after the visitors defence had been cut open with Stephen Robinson’s side well worth their lead.
A creditable draw for them tbh and done their chances of back to back top 6 finishes no harm. Rangers can be pleased with their afternoons work??

After the break Martin abandoned his Mini-Pep style of play as he pushed on a number of attacking substitues and reverted to launching the ball into the St Mirren penalty area.
Nick Walsh raised his game as the clock pushed on, in the 78th minute a low shot from Finlay Curtis was deflected into the St Mirren net.
Walsh opted to play five minutes of stoppage time but there was no further scoring with the loyal bears booing loudly at the final whistle with Martin doing a quick 180 degrees when he went to applaud the away support at the final whistle.
Kris Boyd was in an especially distressed condition afterwards in the Sky Sports studio.

I think a big old tree will be getting hugged by Mr Martin to alleviate the pressure now that a player is refusing to play for him and the clumpany ? Big Igamane is desperate to leave and is telling the boss that he’s ‘ injured ‘ while sitting on the bench ? Maybe he hurt his finger when biting his nails ….a bad habit …
I am going to get pelters for this but Kris Boyd hid his allegiance well during the match and heaped praise on St Mirren. He may lose it when interviewed but he is pretty professional during the game and dare I say it knowledgeable and informative when the subs came on.

Sorry, genuine comment. Rangers and Celtic TV have much worse although I find his big bawface in his online podcasts, or whatever they are, rather off-putting as it is usually contorted with anger and staunchness for the sake of the Ibrox crowd after a bad result.
Strange comment about the board. I believe they have bought average players but Rodgers isn’t getting the best from them.
Look at St Mirren today with a fraction of the budget.
