Celtic are in talks with Inverness Caley Thistle over setting up a Co-operation Deal to loan players out.
This season the SFA have introduced Co-operation Deals where three players can be sent on loan to the same club and replaced if necessary.
At some clubs that could be the result of impressing enough on loan to earn a recall but with Celtic it is more likely to apply to any player picking up an injury.
Kyle Ure and Jude Bonnar have joined Ayr United under the scheme with one more player able to make the move to Somerset Park.
Co-operation Deals can be set up with one club in each of the lower SPFL deals with Inverness being lined up as Celtic’s League One partners.
ICT chief Charlie Christie told the Inverness Courier:
We have been offered it by two or three clubs. Shaun Maloney drove up from Glasgow and said to me that they had done the data on the way Caley Thistle play.
He said that we are only one of two clubs in League One that they would put players to and that is compliment to Scott Kellacher. Celtic is one we are looking at.
Kellacher and Christie both started their senior careers with Celtic before returning north to Inverness.
From those comments the Co-operation Deals are clearly two-way. Celtic have to be able to provide the right calibre of players for ICT as well as vice versa.
Mitchell Robertson has already moved to Inverness on a standard loan but he could soon be joined by two more team-mates with the alternative being matches in the Lowland League.
If Celtic get past Kairat Almaty to reach the Champions League their u-19 side will have six matches to play in the UEFA Youth League before Christmas.

Looks like we may have some players coming in after all !!!
Seriously though, how any fan anywhere can defend the board in any way shape or form on this transfer window is beyond me.
The board and DD are clearly not acting in the best interests of the club, obviously in their reality they are, by denying BR funds to waste as they will frame it.
But for virtually zero financial output to fill blaring gaps in the squad is, for me, a dereliction of duty.
They have prepared to fail.
If BR pulls out a double or treble, they still have an excuse of , well, he didn’t need any money after all.
Dunno how the rest of the fanbase feel, but I think the boards biggest problem lies ahead at the end of this season…..letting a very very successful manager walk away without an offer.
Just exactly what kind of club anywhere in Europe lets a winning manager walk away without trying to keep him?
And just exactly how do they plan to find another of the same calibre?
Ive been going to Celtic park boy and man, almost 60yrs, and in the last few its taken more of an effort just because Im getting older, but I’ve cone to the conclusion that if if PL & DD let BR walk without an offer, my season ticket is gone.
Seeing this act if self harm, using an excuse of spending on players that haven’t delivered isn’t washing with me, its not like these are 25-30m players and its not like we are skint , even if these boys do have to move on, most of the fees will be recouped.
Nope, for me, this is personal.
BR has stood his ground privately and PL’s ego can’t handle being told the facts.
DD doesn’t escape criticism but he has stepped in twice over PL to bag BR, it seems to me without DD’s intervention, PL is king of the castle….and it will have irked him something terrible that BR is there and there was nothing he could do about it.
What an amateur outfit we are when we can’t even put the results on the park 1st over petty in house prick tennis.
Embarrassing.
Good post bhoy4life,spot on mate.
The new celtic manager doing his thing. A joy to behold.
Sean Maloney is the board’s Pogue Mahoney to the support.

Shaun Maloney is on the ball. Good job.

Shin Yamada is in. Rodgers said something like, Shin was not yet the complete package. Negative reinforcement after one friendly.and picked up by the Press.
He can tell Shin his plans for him privately. I did not like that.
John, Brendan will have paid close attention to him in training so it’s hardly “Negative reinforcement after one friendly…..”
Further, if it’s true then it’s fine, it’s not negative, just honest, and Shin Yamada can use that to propel him to better things.
As for the press? Well we all know exactly what they look for in relation to Celtic. They’re in terminal decline and not a moment too soon. We’ll soon be able to sing (a la Thatcher), Ding! Dong! The wicked media’s dead!
Just reflecting on what is another terrible transfer window and where the blame lies: Lawwell. Don’t fall for the ‘fact’ that he pretends he’s not in executive command of the good ship Celtic. He appointed someone who’s hugely unqualified to be a CEO (the Nicholson puppet) just as he picked someone else who’s hugely unqualified to head up transfer business, in this case his son. At a PLC? It’s an absolute fukkin disgrace.
Oh and how come Nicholson could comment on something he’s seen but his boss who had it emailed to him “has never seen”. The 5-Way. A fat, lying (IMO), tory slug who’s dragging Celtic FC down to his level and that’s low, the lowest of the low.
Meanwhile most of us have to hope the new huns get fukked every time they play to find something to cheer about. Lawwell, Lawwell, get tae fukk and take the board and the Irish golfing leech with you. I’m Atheist but I just wonder how Brother Walfrid would have viewed all this? He had a social conscience, something alien to Desmond and Lawwell and Lawwell’s appointees.
I was listening to R Scotland this morning, they had a stats guy on who said we’re 17th in European standings – as a country. We need to win 7 more games than Austrian sides, in Europe, to get in the top 15. Or we navigate 3 qualifying rounds for the CL. 3!! So when BR walks next May, there won’t be an asteroid big enough, never mind a rock, for the board to hide under, as the penny finally drops for any board defenders. Thanks to them not replacing Kuhn, Kyogo and Jota, we are now down 2 good wingers, a striker and a back-up LB. We’ve done hee haw over summer. The anger and frustration is being vented now but by next summer it will be too late if we don’t do well in Europe. Maybe that’s their plan. Do 3 rounds, so we’re back to where we belong (in their opinion, not ours).
If this is more of a personality clash between BR and PL, then that is a very childish and amateur way to run a business. McLair and Johnstone didn’t like each other but they got on with the job. You don’t have to like someone to do a good job. But undermining them to the point of undermining the whole business and it’s entire fanbase is unforgivable
