Kris Boyd was a picture of misery and pain as he performed a watch along for Sky Sports on the visit of Club Brugge to Ibrox in a Champions League Play Off.
The stage was set for a big night of celebration with Boyd expected to be running around the studio high-fiving in the same manner as he celebrated the January 2022 signing of Aaron Ramsey.
Ahead of the new season getting underway Boyd confidently tipped title number two to be celebrated at Ibrox with the former Kilmarnock star having complete faith in Russell Martin and his Revolution!

Within 20 minutes of kick-off last night the smirk had been wiped right off Boyd’s face- Brugge led 3-0 with every aspect of Russell’s Revolution exposed and trashed.
The pain on Boyd’s face made split screens essential, while Brugge eased back into second gear the Brains of Tarbolton was getting increasingly flustered in the studio with his voice squealing through the decibels.
Boyd knew that he was trending, that thousands of Scottish football fans were revelling in his misery, that the fall out and follow up would be glorious.
It made for a very uncomfortable night in the Sky Sports studio with every aspect of the current Ibrox Revolution falling apart.
On Sunday Sky Sports will be in Paisley as St Mirren host the Tribute Act, if Celtic beat Livingston on Saturday they will go seven points clear of Russell Martin’s exciting Ibrox project.

The big daddy that is Sky Sports english programmes would not tolerate the kind of child like rants afforded to big fake Kris Boyd on the Scottish version ! His P45 or SE 60 would be handed to him on his way out of the building ..in the ‘ Smoke ! ‘ Ms Barbour could learn a few tips from the english equivalent when attempting to adjudicate when presenting in the state of the art wee red box that is Sky Scotland’s opulent studio when Boyd lets rip every other week ? On the plus side ..it appears that Boyd would have no problem eating an apple thru a letterbox with that set of porcelain gnashers ? Oh he’s fake alright !
